Is this a pre-cruise hotel package with transfers? If so, all will be taken care of. If this is an independent hotel stay and transferring to San Pedro, which IS the Port of Los Angeles, use the hotel airport shuttle for your hotel stay and then either Uber/Lyft from there to the cruise port or take the hotel shuttle back to LAX and catch the Princess x-fer bus to the cruise port. Easier than it sounds.

On Friday, I got an email from Princess telling me I had booked and confirmed to the tune of $186.00! I never bought the excursion, didn't even get to the confirm and pay page. Never saw that page. I tried to cancel but the excursions are closed. Guess who is getting a visit immediately upon my boarding?

Your new fare may be for "new bookings only" in the fine print. That would explain the new booking number. That may be why they needed to cancel your first booking and give you a new booking number.
