  1. I took a chance and 'jumped to' RC from Celebrity. And I've got a second cruise with RC in two weeks now. I'd try new and cheaper.
  2. I went in May for $89 first time. It was fun enough but wouldn't spend that much again. I enjoyed the lunch and it was quiet. I twice snorkeled over at Chill Island and twice hung out at the Beach Club. 3 weeks from now have day bed at Breezy Bay instead with my sister. I called yesterday to ask if she wanted to switch to the Beach Club for the $89 again but she said no.
  3. I wasn't commenting on whether they would honor a previous price just that it was quicker to get through with the crown and anchor phone number.
  4. @Bingies2If you're crown and anchor you can call that number (800 526-9723) and hit #9. I got through half an hour ago in 2 minutes. 6 minutes later purchase completed.
  5. As I replied to @nasa1974 on a different thread... You can reserve at that price for just one person if you're solo... I just tried on the app as I'm solo my next cruise. Was saying $68.99 buy one get one 50% off (price already reflects discount) and when it got down to the end it was the 68.99*1.18*2 days=162.80 total.

  7. In the app select your cruise and then the boat icon in the top left... then banner at bottom to select Beverage Packages. Select non-alcoholic ones top right.. default is alcoholic.
  8. I feel badly for the poster. Guessing she was more focused about sailing from Barcelona as she showed in her vaccination snippet instead of the fact that it was a transatlantic sailing which clearly has the vaccination requirement listed. I would have hoped the phone reps would have pulled her actual reservation to see transatlantic but perhaps not. As it's been over a week since they missed the boat I hope they're safely home although sadder and out a good bit of money.
  9. Thanksgiving week!? 🙂 Forecasts aren't often accurate morning of. Good weather could become bad and bad could become could. Try not to worry. There will probably be plenty of hours of good weather.
  10. I'd think with decorations having the celebratory feel longer might be nice. So many folk say they're celebrating an anniversary or birthday (like at Disney) when the actual day may be weeks away. 🙂 As one can call and request the beds be together or separate maybe you could call and add a note to the reservation to hold off on the decorations.
  11. If you need to use the elevator and it's continually full the tip to go up and then down works well.
  12. No noise for me from elevators. My neighbors on the next balcony listening loudly to a sports game without headphones were noisy.
  13. Are they still doing 'the drink of the day'?
  14. Hope you're on the Spirit flight and if so that it goes through! See the 4 Southwest flights from BWI to MIA are cancelled today.
  15. Excited! On Dec 5 Freedom 2 night cruise originally in JS 9338 (had/loved back in May) for $692 but moved to regular hump cabin 8336 for $356 on eve of final payment day when price dropped - had paid off 9338 but RC refunded the difference in only 2 days. The regular aft cabins required 3+ occupancy (high prices I think had discouraged folk from booking) but at 70 days out they opened for anyone and I switched to 7408 corner aft for $381. It's a lot of balcony for 1 person.
  16. Glad you had a good cruise. Sorry you got sick and hope you're better soon.
  17. At one point in the not so distant past I came across a website that would show you a small area of the decks right above and below your cabin along with your deck. Not the deck drag on cruisedeckplans. I haven't refound it and was hoping someone would know which site it is. thanks!
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if the Black Friday sales this year aren't nearly as good as last year... but I'll be checking anyway.
  19. I don't remember, sorry. I was off the ship very soon after they allowed us on shore (not in first rush as I went to wrong deck initially and then got confused where the plank was.. so there were folk ahead of me) and then walked straight there.
  20. Be aware that the base price can change so should consider the actual price. 15% off could be a cheaper actual price than 30% off depending on the current base price.
  21. Saw this in a review for A2 Solstice toward aft. "For the first cruise, we were in cabin 1642. The cabin was fine but the balcony was a disaster. There was a huge air intake above the patio door which made so much noise that we could not use the balcony. On the second cruise, we were moved to cabin 1638. The balcony did not have the air intake but cabins on both sides did so the noise was as bad. I cannot understand why these were installed on balconies in aqua class. We complained a lot and finally got a $250 on board credit. I really don't think this was sufficient for the loss of enjoyment of our balcony for both cruises." I see the air intakes looking at pictures... Looks like starboard side 1626,1628,1630,1632,1636,1640,1642. Anyone else have an issue with these air intake vents and balcony enjoyment? I was just able to upgrade to 1628 after a price decrease. thanks!
