  1. My guess will be you will get PPG & the other will be the $250 OBC JMO
  2. We sometime will take the air but we pay the deviation fee to fly in a day or more early & choose the route/airlines we want Usually we book our own air YMMV
  3. or the people that close the bar in the wee hour & bang the door as they return & then bang every drawer in the cabin before they fall into bed Even without the connecting door this is annoying we do not go to bed at 8:30 pm but are in by 11pm YMMV
  4. well Riviera is about 1 mth in dry dock so cannot see Marina getting redone in less time I doubt she will be rack n ruin condition by the time her make over happens they do try to keep up with repairs along the way JMO
  5. Have not used Blue cross since the 70's We use RSA or TIPS but insure the the cost of the cruise/trip which is a lot more than $5000 The premium is usually about $500 + ea We have had to use it a couple of times & they did pay out in about 2 mths Road trips are different as you will not lose a chunk of $$ but if your medical plan covers you for hospital stays Check your work plan they may cover you for returning home if you needed to fly back Check if any reviews online for Blue Cross all ins companies like to take their time to pay out
  6. Tough call I would not take either but that is me 😉 Good luck
  7. Depends on the cost of the trip if you need medical as well it could be a problem We usually spend 2X that ea for a cruise so does not work for everyone We do not know what the OP's cost was they were trying to cover & if they have other medical coverage
  8. Interesting Maybe just I T has not updated the website it would be a shame to do one ship & not the other
  9. We sail Oceania (Premium) the dress code for dinner is long pants like Dockers etc & a collard shirt More casual venue is the Buffet You do not need to share a table it is open dining show up during opening hours & be seated Specialty restaurants are included but require a reservation Non Alcoholic beverages included you can get excursion packages for a fee drink packages for a fee Viking you get wine/beer lunch & dinner basic shore excursion per port dress code informal SS I think required dress up for dinner but I would check the forums for the Luxury lines Regent is all inclusive drinks, excursions etc included Dress code relaxed casual not sure on jeans & T's for dinner Main stream line s you can usually wear more casual attire then add on packages for drinks tours etc.. Everyone has different wants/needs A good cruise TA could help find what you are looking for with your budget in mind Happy hunting
  10. yes I have a couple of the booklets usually 4-6 pages of recipes (I think) They probably will not be as intensive as the Regent ones I have heard about It is a fun class where you might learn new things if you are not a Chef to begin with We enjoyed them YMMV
  11. Maybe depends on the situation DH had a Gallbladder attack on a cruise doctor recommend getting off before the ship did the crossing to Europe which we did Not sure if he would have sent him to a hospital for an all clear if we decided to continue the cruise or not We had insurance that covered the unused portion of the cruise & new flights home
  12. if the weather is bad you could take the train I do not mind Rouge in the Premium seats We used AA from YYZ once at least with Rouge Premium you get lounge access
  13. if you like an afternoon nap or early to bed prior to 11 pm then I would not take one of those cabins If they have any C 1's they are pretty good no noise from above
  14. The sale does not start yet so maybe you are not seeing it online there ??? I am not seeing the Black Friday sale here either I would have thought since you can book starting the 22nd they would have the sale up online by now 🤔
  15. I believe boarding usually starts about 11 am unless the ship has just arrived from Europe then it may be delayed due to inspections by CDC
  16. Maybe look for a TA site that has the breakdown by cabins Not sure what your post has to do with Luxury lines🤔
  17. They are not removing all the tubs be sure to check this post to see if your cabin will have one or not https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2874113-riveria-bathtub-updates/#comment-63775016
  18. Most lines that are more inclusive will cost the same or more than Disney AFAIK We have only sailed Oceania & Crystal that included most food venues & non alcoholic beverages Crystal included alcohol
  19. If you are referring to me then I could care less if you can sail without a passport As Canadians we carry our passports when we leave the Country & horrors we buy trip insurance 🤔 some lines require passports even on closed loop cruises MSC may be one or not The OP has confirmed they will be fine without one Happy sailing
  20. there is no saving on O for taking a GTY unlike main stream lines
