  1. So far so good and I hope as I’m 8 days after extraction the worst is over (until I have to have implants done). Look after yourself.
  2. I sympathise as I had two teeth out last week. My antibiotics surprisingly only cost me £5 at the chemist. I thought it would be more as despite being over 60, the dentist is private. Nurofen Plus took most of the initial pain away - altho not recommended if on BP medication, but needs must at times!
  3. My dog does exactly the same apart from the meow…..🤣🐶
  4. I have friends on Iona at the moment too. Strangely they said Iona was coping well in the rough weather - they are 1st time cruisers. They sent some photos thru and it looks very murky in Olden but were still going up in the sky lift after lunch.
  5. When I boarded Aurora at the Ocean terminal in June, we were made to wait outside and only those that had pre-booked assistance seemed to be allowed to wait downstairs in the terminal. I arrived 1150 (due to fast CPS check in) for 1230 embarkation and waited outside in the queue until 1220 when we were all ushered straight to the upstairs escalators. Fast check in and then we sat and waited about 20 mins before they allowed anyone thru to security and to onboard. I was on board by about 1310.
  6. @Selbourne - I cannot find the posts on here or the other media site, but I’m sure the same thing happened to Arvia bookings for entertainment a few weeks ago and P&O said there might have been an IT issue as the bookings went live later on the Monday.
  7. No email here either, but I only booked a few weeks ago for next summer.
  8. The beach house got pretty booked up within the first 24 hrs of boarding. Never had a problem with getting into Glasshouse.
  9. You haven’t been able to pre-book restaurants on Aurora before getting on board for quite a while. Suggest you do it as soon as you on there. Enjoy your cruise. We had a great time in June.
  10. So, so sorry Michelle. What a beautiful dog with such fabulous eyes. I send my love to you and Freddie sends licks. Gill x
  11. Oh what a shame. I used to live near Goodwood and it is indeed glorious- but not in this weather.
  12. Ooh, that looks grim. The pictures from Brighton on the tv look horrendous.
  13. Thanks Graham and you are right about the cost. About £5200 for the two implants and that does not include the extraction today (£350). But hey ho, I’m otherwise healthy and that is the most important thing. Gx
  14. Thanks Jane. He did warm me about dry socket. Luckily my dentist is only a 5 minute drive away. Gx
  15. Raining here in Dorset and pretty miserable. Plus, I’ve just had two teeth out. Cannot believe the cost of a dental implant….. I could have a couple of cruises for that price and I know which I’d rather spend my money on!
  16. Seeing as the window cleaner has just been, I predict rain here in the next hour!!
  17. that……99.9% of passengers are quite happy to queue outside the terminal in all elements for over over an hour after their allotted boarding time 🙄
  18. Yes. There was a queue for all those arriving earlier than their boarding time (albeit only 40 mins). I have been Caribbean or above for many years and always had a boarding time of either 12.30 or very occasionally 1215 I believe the holes for the luggage open around 1100
  19. @Selbourne Admittedly it was on Aurora a few weeks ago at Ocean Terminal, but CPS said to arrive between 30-40 mins before boarding time. I got there at 1140 and there was only one car in front of me in the queue so was in the naughty queue for my 1230 boarding at 1150. Earliest and first lot of boarding was at 1200 and they stuck to that time. Security didn’t seem to open up until 1230. CPS said they can never judge when everyone is going to turn up.
  20. These are my ports of call next year so am interested in replies! Stavanger is very easy to wander around yourself and no shuttle is usually required. Olden is gorgeous - cruisers on another site recommend Olden Adventures as they are cheaper than P&O tours. The other two ports are new to me so am still deciding what to do. I understand there’s not a lot in Haugesund itself, so will try and do a trip there.
  21. Hemto tags from Amazon are excellent and strong and less faffing!
