  1. If true, perhaps it is because Carnival the price leader and the elite prefer other methods.
  2. I thought Celebrity was good, but kind of wish I had gone on Princess. HAL might be best of the main lines but was more days than I wanted to cruise.
  3. Carnival is more likely to have smaller ships than Behemoth of the Seas cruise lines. Celebrity Beyond is 146,500 tons and so is no lightweight.
  4. Somebody gets it. The seas and ports are all the same, no matter the price point of the cruise.
  5. Note that the above do not reflect the return of the flat iron, so at least one more variation should be coming.
  6. Yes, they are. On a cruise you can see the menus. Here is one showing a variation of strawberry soup and the cheese plate
  7. Any loyalty program is a marketing program and nothing is earned. Even your points belong to Carnival. "Accumulated VIFP Points are not Member’s property and may be revoked, cancelled, limited or modified at any time. " https://www.carnival.com/vifp/terms-and-conditions It is up to the customer to keep up, and Carnival states that in the terms and conditions of the program. " Since any changes will be posted on this page, Members should check this page regularly." https://www.carnival.com/vifp/terms-and-conditions Only Carnival knows what is the heart of their promotion.
  8. Permanent postings are no good .The whole program is subject to change with or without notice. Bu Carnival does have a chart anyone can reference: https://www.carnival.com/vifp/benefits Carnival stopped sending out paper tickets years ago, but people still manage to board the ships.
  9. They stopped producing that altogether and I no longer have to throw it away.
  10. Printing a letter is a waste of paper and resources which is one of the reasons for going paperless. One could simply ask the steward or call guest services if they don't have a smart phone. The use of QR codes is becoming universal, worldwide. The times are changing and everyone needs to change with them or lose out. This is not a Carnival issue.
  11. It should be automatically credited back. Some people with Cheers or similar sometimes have issues. Or if the cabin steward needs training. A phone call could also resolve the issue. Or letting the cabin steward know what you did. For the record - it is stated in the benefits Complimentary 1.5 liter bottle of water Redeemable at any bar, restaurant or stateroom
  12. For me? Once in a wile, yes. For others, maybe every cruise. For some, meh. Some pictures from our Chef's Table on Carnival Venezia start around post 442 on this page and continue on the next... The pictures always get a little jumbled. Here is a different presentation
  13. You could have just taken one of the bottles in the cabin and it would be a wash.
  14. How many cruisers are traveling on business, the bread and butter of hotel and airline business? People traveling last minute and money isn't a primary consideration? In the cruise industry, it is typically the newcomer spending more.
  15. I was on Infinity a few months ago and was shocked by the amount of visible rust. Also noticed other maintenance issues. For example, the balcony lock in my cabin was broken. I reported it twice and the cabin steward was well aware that it was broken. It remained broken for the entire 2 weeks of the cruise.
