  1. One thing great about this cabin and similar is that when you look over the balcony rail you should be looking at the water and not the Promenade deck.
  2. There was another one a few days ago https://www.fool.com/investing/2023/04/15/better-buy-carnival-corporation-vs-royal-caribbean/
  3. Fights at or near a bar. Pretty sure that never happens on land. 🤣
  4. I think more the exception. they want you to reserve (and be charged for) the ride in advance. They don't want a line of people waiting. You can always cancel (if outside of window - maybe 2 hours?). As other mentioned, reserve more than one day and cancel if you get lucky the first time.
  5. Of course it is. And people still don't read the ticket contract.
  6. US airlines are regulated by law. They also get bailouts and other perks. There is no comparison.
  7. I started putting these AND Tile in all checked luggage last year and keep a spare or two. Don't leave home without them.
  8. We had a different Mexican on Carnival Dream QR-Menu-Mexican.pdf
  9. Holy moly. Luggage is another area where Carnival is better than MSC. 8.7 MSC is not liable for any loss of or damage to the Passenger’s luggage or for the loss or damage of contents of the Passenger’s luggage whilst on-board the Cruise or in the custody or under the control of any Port or any other third-party Service Provider.
  10. Carnival's liability, even if it somehow was their fault, is limited. It's in the ticket contract. That is what insurance is for.
  11. even on the Celebrity Infinity rust bucket. I've never been thrilled with Celebrity casinos.
  12. If you don't pay for Spa cabin you often don't get spa passes. Something else to ask.
  13. The only way to know is to call Carnival. Upgrade offers expire, so if interested don't piddle. I generally don't fool with them.
  14. The whole Venice class (Venezia and Firenze, so far)
  15. Universities in UK and France, and maybe more, start the fall term later that US counterparts.
  16. European cruises are about the ports and not the ship. It matters even less what the demographics are. It's an opportunity of a lifetime which may never come again. Go for it.
  17. Must be why they don't block any of the alternatives.
  18. I'm not sure how you check availability, but you could book a fully refundable rate cabin and then cancel. The deposit would be tied up until refunded, but you could go ahead and rebook under a different rate

  20. Everything has changed. Change happens. Living in the past isn't sustainable. We can improve the present, and part of that is not turning a blind eye to rule breakers.
  21. They do. There is a shift in society to constant complaining and looking for fault (in others, of course). Enjoy your Carnival cruises. I know I do. From the oldest ships in Carnivals fleet to the newest. Some say just because something didn't happen on my cruises doesn't mean it didn't happen which is true. That works both ways. Because something occasionally happens, by definition, most of the time it doesn't. Planes occasional crash, but only once.
  22. The Princess loyalty model is one I think the rest of Carnival Corp should follow. The program maxes out at 150 sea days or 15 cruises (on the 16th cruise you are elite) and has limited published benefits. They don't give away much, but do offer some discounts, which of course, results in increases onboard spend. What they do have, and what is sustainable, are certain additional benefits granted to those with the most sail days on each cruise. That number and cost is the same no matter how many elites are on the cruise. If you don't have well over 1000 sea days, you will have to try harder. This is not bribery, but well played marketing.
  23. If you book full suites you get an extra credit, so less than 8 cruises. Princess does some short cruises - 2, 3, 4 days so way less than 50 sea days, if you plan right.
