  1. I don't think a majority of cruisers need sensory overload to not be bored. Many of us like to get away from the noise and enjoy the serenity. No matter the age of the ship, the water and ports are the same. Except when the ships get too big to fit.
  2. Your ego is showing. The thread isn't all about you. 😉
  3. I doubt institutions are taking cheap shots at Carnival. Whether or not they own Carnival stick.
  4. I see insides for Venezia for $521 total for two ($100 offers). But then I'd have to give up my $250 OBC.
  5. Building new ships takes financing and more debt. Other cruise lines will have to charge more to pay for higher financing costs. Carnival's approach will allow them to reduce debt and improve their credit rating. When they resume building, fixed costs will be lower and Carnival can continue to be the price leader Unless there are serious flaws with the Excel, I don't see a radical departure from the design.
  6. Ok. Last time they were expecting 1-2 ships per year going forward starting in 2027. But a pause in new builds does allow Carnival to knock down debt.
  7. There seems to be far more insider buying than selling. https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/ccl/insider-activity Did CCL outperform the S&P?
  8. Profit taking after the ginormous run up in CCL this week.
  9. Carnival isn't randomly charging people for water or denying people their free drink. There is a logical explanation. And apparently some don't care how much waste is generated.
  10. Would lead to more waste and more work for already overworked stewards to both deliver and haul away.
  11. You should see a charge and a credit, but Cheers may be screwing it up for you (and others)
  12. I guess it really isn't when you took the stateroom water, but when your steward reported it. https://www.carnival.com/vifp/benefits Complimentary 1.5 liter bottle of water Redeemable at any bar, restaurant or stateroom ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔
  13. They seem to be updating the terms and conditions, but Carnival did Complimentary 1.5 liter bottle of water. Redeemable at any bar, restaurant or stateroom ·
  14. Institutions are the biggest shareholder so who cares? Other than you might have your retirement funds take a hit. Should have picked better funds.
  15. The question really was did you get a bottle water from anywhere prior to the $4 charge for bottle in the room and yes, they can tax it. But I don't do Cheers. You should be able to get all the small bottles for free that you want.
  16. Should be the same as at any bar - they charge you and then subtract the benefit for a net zero. If you have Cheers and get a water of any size, it probably cancels out your benefit.
  17. Exactly. I don't know why the people who gripe about a free gift continue to pick them up. For those who want the gift, it is truly a minimal effort to go pick them up. Pixels is usually centrally located.
  18. Airlines had bailouts, too. Sometimes more than once. Amazing how all those frequent flier miles survived through bankruptcy.
  19. You can just take the water that is in the cabin.
  20. They must have had hands because both Zaxby's and Raising Cane's have them on the menu
  21. The industry will survive even if individual cruise lines don't.
  22. Another pandemic will bankrupt all of them. It isn't a matter of outperform, it is who survives.
