  1. I wouldn't use the word strong for any of them. I still say anyone who gets stock advice from a cruise board is a fool.
  2. I've met both Christine and Emeril on several Carnival ships - even before Covid. Airfare to BCN is obscene.
  3. To put into perspective - Royal was 74.16 on March 6 and 64.70 today. Quite the rally.
  4. After the stock fell 5% on Monday, it gained in each of the subsequent days this week and was up 9.5% as of Thursday at 2 p.m. ET, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence.
  5. In Europe just carry on bottles of whatever you like and cancel Cheers. Make your own.
  6. Wow. Carnival stock popped again today. Now well over $10/share! Looks like once again CCL stock is being held back by Royal and NCL.
  7. Usually, especially if the ship is on a regular itinerary, but not always.
  8. Indirectly, I suppose, since he is the Chief Culinary Officer (whatever that is). But no venue of his own. Found it As Chief Culinary Officer, Lagasse will support Carnival's skilled chefs with guidance on food trends and techniques as well as advise on future menu items and dining concepts. Guests will also see his input on the menus of main dining rooms fleetwide, including entrées designated as "Emeril recommends" picks.
  9. A liter is about 33.8140227 ounces. How many shots you get depends on the size of your shots. If you are okay with the price of a bottle, then it is worth it. No waiting in line and no need to tip extra to get a decent pour.
  10. Laundry Specials: offer and/or prices may vary throughout the fleet Wash and Fold - guests can fill up a laundry bag for same day service (no pressing) 1 standard laundry bag (same day service) $15.00 USD 5 standard laundry bag (same day service) $50.00 USD https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1134/~/laundry-service When Carnival paused putting all the Diamonds International et al garbage in the staterooms, any info on laundry specials also paused. But it should be available, sometimes, somewhere, anyhow.
  11. Crown Grill is $39 although an extra entree is only $10 more. Chops Grille on Royal is at least $65
  12. Farcus designed ships for both cruise lines and has no memory of why he did some things on Splendor. We asked him. I like Splendor and had some great cruises on the ship including around Cape Horn and through the new Panama Canal locks.
  13. Perhaps not, but the stock is still significantly higher than when the article this thread is based on was posted Monday.
  14. I can see false profit was wasted on some. Okay, false prophets are those who continually predict Carnival is going bankrupt, or that CCL stock is somehow inherently worse than other cruise line stocks.
  15. A baked potato on Carnival Celebration last November
  16. Aren't pictures grand? A baked potato from my Carnival Dream cruise in January with a side of beef
  17. As I have said more than once, anyone who gets stock advice from a cruise board is a fool.
  18. MOST POPULAR? Literally dozens? Dozens compared to thousands? But to get back to the actually topic - CCL stock is up AGAIN. And once again by a higher percentage than the wannabe competition. So much for the doom and gloom by false prophets.
  19. If it is locked, it goes to the naughty room on the ship and you have to open for a ship security inspection to get it out of jail. At least that is how it has worked for me.
  20. Attitude is everything. Fun seems to elude those with poor attitudes.
  21. I always lock my checked luggage. It at least makes it on the ship and ship security check things.
  22. When cruising was restarted it was the path Carnival chose to get people to cruise, vaccinations, fear of covid and all. None of that is needed these days and especially not for chronic complainers that seem to be attracted by the offers.
  23. I have said for years now that cruising will never be as it was is 2019. There is a new normal for all cruise lines.
  24. Definitely true. I was on the last Ecstasy sailing and chose hotel park and cruise that time. Battle House was great.
