The smoke continues by how much gamblers allegedly spend in the casino. Of course, spend does not mean lose. Many post pictures of their jackpot. Of course some lose. Some win. Many don't play much at all.
As if normal cruisers who pay for their cabins never enter the casino and spend plenty, pay for their drinks, specialty dining, etc.
I don't think you need to change anything other than don't book under an existing VIFP number and the system will automatically generate a new one for you. It is not unheard of for people to have to call Carnival to merge accounts when it happens.
Carnival makes an improvement to the program and some gripe about it anyway. Shocking.
For the gamblers with a million cruises, what stops them from creating an new account/VIFP number and starting over from 0? It shouldn't take long to recapture any staus.
I'm pretty sure Oceania has made cutbacks and people complain about anything or nothing. Those who switch now will never know how good it was in the good old days.
I am not aware of Princess stating that, but other cruise lines have said. But that's a good question. Is there an official Princess page where the question might be asked?
I don't know about the ice cream, but I was pleasantly surprised with my last RS order. It did take forever to be delivered, but then they did have to pick up my appetizer from Sabatini's, my steak from the steakhouse, and a couple of cocktails from a bar. The hot food was still reasonably warm
