  1. Sometimes the library, the arcade, and slot machines are 24 hour.
  2. I seem to get daily emails with offers. In my case, the free rooms are decreasing, but there are still deals. When I look, most seem to be over a year out. I rarely cruise on any kind of a casino deal, but as soon as I board I get notified of DOU from the casino. It is usually cheaper for me to take a break and buy my own.
  3. I didn't see that (and still don't). I see where she says the Florida AG reached out to her - whatever that means. I still don't see where Carnival or the Florida AG has said anything about her allegations. It is all one sided from her.
  4. Some gamblers would disagree with that. With increased competition for available casino comps, there is no reason for the casino not to cut back on what is offered.
  5. Nothing wrong with what you are doing, but as I have said before, gamblers are fickle. The same is true of those who cruise for loyalty perks. Getting in a bidding war for customers isn't Carnival's long term game.
  6. A car dealer will show you the invoice, but everyone knows, or should know, that isn't what the dealer actually pays.
  7. That's your opinion. Feres means the government isn't liable.
  8. If a frog had wings it wouldn't bump its a**** So many hypotheticals. The 500 million or so records stolen in the Ticketmaster breach is going to be more interesting.
  9. Now we have entered SWAG territory. Carnival likely has some idea of how many cabins they will sell for a given cruise. Carnival knows if you set the price low enough, people will cruise. Casino offers are useful for filling ships that might not sail full. Casino offers aren't going away, but may have already decline in the number of available cabins on a cruise, and some have reported a decline in the OBC and/or freeplay. The competition for those offers has certainly increased. That Carnival has changed the wording of the offers to allow them to charge for no-shows strongly suggests they didn't use to penalize no-shows more than the standard cancellation fees.
  10. No, I wouldn't. Carnival's bread and butter are novice cruisers paying more and spending more. Carnival isn't ( for example) building Celebration Key to attract gamblers.
  11. I bet the casino pays far less than the price available to an individual. And bet there are more no shows.
  12. I like that cabin prices are up. Perhaps that indicates a decline in free cabins being given away.
  13. Cramer accidentally gets something right occasionally.
  14. Several depending on where you are going. https://www.google.com/search?q=carnival+cruise+monkey+excursion
  15. Largely irrelevant are repeated attempts to take the thread off topic with false equivalents. The person who continues to try to blame Carnival for her stupidity isn't waiting for law enforcement to complete their investigation and she isn't suing in a court of law. Carnival doesn't have a history of stupid people doing stupid things and then blaming Carnival. You can tell it is an election year.
  16. Just back from the first Carnival Legend cruise after dry dock and everything was on schedule. Carnival Legend was in great shape.
  17. Clearly the coffee temperature was not dropped given the current lawsuits. And Carnival still is not to blame for some idiot posting enough information for someone to steal her identity.
  18. McDonald's coffee is still just as hot, but they mitigated that with a warning label. Basically no change.
  19. Carnival has listings on their website for Pack and Go and also Last Minute Cruises you can monitor and see if prices decrease and when. You can select just Sunrise. October isn't available yet.
  20. If you join a roll call, it is a reasonable assumption that you will be on the cruise. If someone breaks into your house while you are gone, who's fault is that?
  21. Airlines are nothing like cruise lines, however, if I (or my identify thief) cancel a flight and didn't pay extra for a refundable ticket, credits are the only choice. Carnival keeps a herd of lawyers on staff and I think they know how to spot a con. Carnival would have been ot of business a long time ago if they paid off all the grifters.
