  1. From the link above. It’s not on all Royal class and it’s sometimes on Diamond. The champagne and premium teas are not offered at the included afternoon tea. On select ships don't miss Royal afternoon tea service, where you can choose from a selection of premium teas or Champagne, cookies, tea sandwiches and scones along with jams, berries and cream. Available on Enchanted, Regal, Royal and Sky Princess®in the piazza, Diamond Princess® while in Japan (served in the dining room).
  2. I slept the first night in the bed as a twin. I move around a lot when I sleep and the twin being narrower than standard (two only make a queen size after all ) I kept hitting the wall. Bring pictures of the bed as a queen just in case. My steward only agreed after he saw the photo. The balcony is amazing on glacier viewing days. And make sure to ask for the queen size mattress pad. My steward didn’t put it at first so the Queen wasn’t very comfy on night 2. Thank goodness it was an 11 day cruise or I would have felt it was all too much bother. It took until the third night to get a good night sleep.
  3. Yes. I make cloth organizers that I use magnets to stick to the bathroom door. This solves the very limited counter space problem in the bathroom. I really love that huge walk-in shower. In my comments I mention the room was supposed to be an ADA mini but ended up being non compliant so it’s a very weird setup.
  4. It’s a stunning itinerary. RT SF on the Ruby. Booked my favorite cabin. It’s not cheap. I’m hoping for a price decrease. Regardless I’m going as I have never (in my seriously limited time cruising compared to most here) seen this offered out of SF.
  5. My CVP has been able to add, remove and change my packages. It has gotten more challenging for him in the last 6-8 months. I don’t know what or how his end changed I just hear him muttering and then “I’ll work on it and send the new confirmation”. He’s been able to do it without cancelling and rebooking as I retain my original booking number. That said, since you are talking about the eclipse cruise I wouldn’t touch it! I’m on that cruise too and agree with @Thrak
  6. I found it in the Guide to Benefits that came with my card
  7. Agreed. I really hope that changes. Especially on Royal class ships there is no reason (for us) to pay extra for plus. Ordering MDR has to be done over the phone and it is still listed as a benefit of the suite. How can they charge me for using an included benefit? Makes no sense.
  8. I tried. Could not choke that down. Good luck.
  9. A discount for elites is a great idea. But hand to heart Plus needs to be included in S7-s4 suites and premier included in S3-S0. I’ve got the Sky suite booked for 10 days standard fare at $2000 a day for 2 people. I have been told by my CVP that the new rules are irrespective of cabin level. Seriously? I HAVE to use the phone to order my “included“ MDR room service. And I suppose there will be a $5 RS charge. *****? I should run the World. It would be a much better place.
  10. These were on the Emerald July 1-6, 2023. They were awful. They took 15 minutes each to get. It is impossible to eat it with the wooden spoon given. I’m also attaching photos of the disgusting cakes (they were stale and hard as rocks-not frozen just old) and blobs of unidentifiable & inedible masses inside. There was almost no actual ice cream. It was whipped cream, icky lump of something and a small bit of actual ice cream.
  11. I can’t help but wonder where this is going. I hate when the information from one page to another doesn’t match. I think Princess does not care about grandfathering in bookings. Look at the debacle with those who paid for cruises thinking it included Alfredo’s, ocean now and room service. The WS are still really nice cabins though. I loved the big big big windows and all the counter top space and the huge living area.
  12. That. The travel summary and luggage tags link is super tiny print in the header of your summary page. Hard to see for sure. But this doc is the most complete doc showing every detail.
  13. 4 day Sept 25, 2024 on Grand princess. This is what I saw when I chose my stateroom category. Same as always. Window Suite - Upgrade from $14 per day Premium accommodations and luxurious appointments are the signature of our Window Suite, along with special Suite-only benefits. This Suite features a large picture window instead of a balcony and includes a separate seating area with a sofa bed and bathroom with bathtub, separate shower and deluxe amenities. But then when you book the room the room amenities are almost exactly those of a regular mini suite except it includes complementary 24 gr room service. No specialty dining, no lotus spa, no sabatini breakfast, no CC dining, no laundry, no shoe shining, no priority GS line, no priority tendering, nothing….It references Star and Sun ships so this is definitely new. Looks like change is in the air. The days of getting full suite benefits for basically mini suite prices may be coming to an end. Glad I got to ride that train. Window Suite Amenities Approx. 304 to 329 sq. ft., including balcony Balcony with 2-4 chairs, table and ottoman Bathroom tub and massage shower head with amenitiesfootnote 6 Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors Separate sitting area with sofa bed & coffee table Luxury mattress topper and pillows Two flat-panel TVs Comfortable queen or two twin bedsfootnote 4 Refrigerator Flat-panel television Private bathroom with shower 100% cotton, high-thread count linens Complimentary 24-hour room servicefootnote 5 Spacious closet Desk with chair Hair dryer & bathroom amenities Digital security safe footnote43rd/4th berths available in select cabins footnote5Charges apply for balcony dinner, pizza delivery and beverages. Subject to change footnote6Shower only on Star & Sun Princess. Subject to change
  14. The Sapphire is an excellent choice for any sailing. My favorite princess ship. She has an Alfredo’s and her pizza on the upper decks is quite good. As are the burgers, hotdogs (really so good) and chicken tacos at the grill up there. You will not go hungry on a grand class ship. I most recently sailed her in April this year. The nice bit about Alfredo’s is that it’s an indoor sit down venue so a bit nicer unless you’re in the pools and what not on the upper decks. The pizzas will be $12 each and they are definitely big enough for two (well unless you’re a 17 year old boy who’s still growing lol). I was a never buffet girl too until this last Sapphire sailing. I really enjoyed getting fresh salads, fruits and boy the proteins were amazingly good! I liked how fast it all was and how I could get exactly what and how much I wanted of each thing. I avoided the most crowded times (our ship sailed full) and found it to be quiet with great views! Always got a window seat! Can’t say that about MDR lol.
  15. The Grand Princess and Sapphire Princess are two grand class ships that have Alfredo’s on deck 5.
  16. I support the crew by giving them the sale but talk about an impossible goal for them to reach for time off and promotion! The packages are pushed so hard prior to sailing and then you can just do it in the ap when you do board. They can’t catch a break here. I don’t think most people know that it benefits crew to give them the sale.
  17. Would anyone have recent information about how to get into town from where Windstar docks in Canakkale, Turkey? We were just going to go to the area around the Trojan Horse and ferry dock.
  18. Here’s the map showing the routes the cruise ships take. It is from the book princess sells the Alaskan Cruise Companion bh Rachel Cartwright. I do not see 3 sections of inside passage.
  19. My bad. Thanks for the correction. I spent an afternoon writing down the pros and cons of the 2 Ultimate Alaska sailings. Ruby June 9 SF and Grand May 6 Seattle. I got turned around on the dates!
  20. That is so very kind of you. Thank you for finding out for me.
  21. Thanks for posting the officer board. If it’s not too much trouble, would you mind terribly finding out if Captain McBain, Mario, Pieter (the HGM), Yolondi Bell (business and Brand) & Remo (Exec chef) will be on board Dec 1 when Sapphire leaves LA to go to South America/Antarctica ? I’ve sailed with them and they all really made my time on the ship so special. I’d be so happy to find out I’ll have 34 days with them this December. This is the all star team of officers! No worries if you don’t. But thanks in advance if you can.
  22. Yes they are interesting. Don’t get me wrong I love surveys and I answered yours. I’m not a fan of the changes. I really think they should have been announced & rolled out at a later date that allowed folks to cancel without penalty. And I think they should have waived all cancellation fees if the changes are the reason for cancelling. But I don’t run the world 🤬.
  23. The Grand and Sapphire are both excellent choices. Full wrap around promenade decks and fabulous upper decks. You can get to the front and back on upper decks for gorgeous vistas. I give a slight edge to Sapphire as her promenade deck is wider and has padded chairs and loungers. There are 2 inside passages: upper and lower. Only the smaller ships go through the lower (between Vancouver Island and the mainland). I just did it again on the Sapphire this April and was reminded of how lovely that sailing is. There’s a 17 day RT out of Seattle on the Grand June 9, 2025 that is a very unique and incredible itinerary.
