I am not a wine snob, drink pretty moderately priced wines, but they are mostly corked. I am thinking that screwtops would be better to carry on for not spilling onboard/ storing. Recommendations? I like my chardonnay pretty dry and/ or creamy-ish.

Starting to actually think about packing. Thinking of carrying on our toiletries, shampoos, etc, medications, 2 bottles wine, and whatever random… It is stArting to add up. Can we carry on (roll on) a small suitcase each? We are driving, so i do not have to worry about airplane rules. Thanks!

I have celiac as well. Just today I have been looking for where to tell them of my needs. I thought that i read that a month or so beforehand they would send me something to fill out… ? But only a few weeks away now and I have seen nowhere to note it. Advice?

Our cruise is next month, March 2023. Am i remembering correctly that the reimbursement clause is still in effect if one tests positive and must quarantine? Is it still set to expire in March 23? it seems like that would make a big difference in whether people self report and self quarantine or not. What will happen when that policy expires?

I purchased it too- in good faith that it was a legitimate sale. By the next day or two, it was gone (from sale, but in my account.) My question is: Do i need to print anything out or take the barcode, etc? Or is it ‘in the system’ when i board? We are complete X newbies and the whole What to Do or Have Before We Board is somewhat mysterious. Never even got an email telling me to online check in, although you all had said to, and I certainly get ALL the advertisements.

This! Do not force the changes on cruisers after their payment. Either announce the changes and install them 4 or so months later, or given cruisers who have paid their final payments in good faith of the product advertised the option to cancel for full refund if cancelling.

It is disappointing that people are reporting no prime rib and no filet + no oceanview + no mains listed in the menus for my upcoming cruise. I have celiac disease and have to be very careful what i eat. I cannot eat any of the pasta dishes, or anything with bread or breadcrumbs, nor most meats with a sauce bc they have wheat in the sauce, not to mention almost any dessert. Now, this is MY problem, and I take responsibility for it. BUT before I paid, I closely checked the menu options and saw that i could get a nice steak and veggies most nights- or choose something simple, put together myself from the many options in OVC. That was only a couple months out when i booked. NOW, we are only 40ish days out, and those food options don’t seem to be there. For me, this is NOT what I paid for in good faith. We did not get a good deal on the room either (Beyond) I would absolutely cancel if we wouldn’t lose thousands because I didn’t want to pay $$$$ to have plain, disappointing food options every day. Not sure what to do… This is a very real issue for me.

On my cruise plamner order history, it only shows My packages for drinks and AI- like only one person is on the reservation, not my husband’s. Is that normal? He is on the reservation. I checked. 🤪

Interesting. We are doing our first X soon (Beyond) childless, but I would like to take our boys next time 24, 22 and 15. They have long ago outgrown DCL. They do like a sophisticated atmosphere, but I did wonder if they would be bored- especially the 15 year old. I just wondered what they would do during the day, and if RCCL would be a better choice. But I don’t want to end up in drunken party atmosphere - especially of Carnival. What did your boys find to do during the day?

The wine information on the Classic is especially irritatingly vague— “a selection of wines”. Is there any sparkling or champagne at all? We too are deciding whether to upgrade to Premium or not.

Hi all, It’s getting closer to online check in time for our first X cruise. We will have no ‘status’. We’ll be on Beyond. A couple questions: Do we need to join Captains Club or does one automatically get assigned a number? I think i clicked ‘Sign up’ from my login, so looks like i have a number now but not Dh. Since my email address is attached to the ressie, i get the emails. How does my Dh get his own log in for excursions, etc and his own CC number? Also he would like to get the emails too. Can I have two emails on the ressie? What is the benefit of getting an early boarding time? What should we bring in our carry on? How long for luggage to arrive?

Yes, Dh drinks only beer- not liquor. But he will want the IPAs and such- not just Coors. I was also wondering what the cost difference would be in deciding whether to upgrade from Classic or just pay per drink. Have we gotten a definitive answer on the upgrade cost for a week cruise yet? Seems like the answers and Higher Math are all over the place.

First time Celebrity cruiser: how does one get the arrival time? is that something i need to do on the app? Or is it assigned? (I had the app but deleted it because it kept freezing up my ipad until I deleted it…) Also, I have read that parking can be a problem in Ft L. Is that the case? we will be driving and staying over a couple hours from the port the night before. So we could arrive very early or choose to delay. Is it better to delay to let more departing passengers leave or arrive early for less parking hassles?
