  1. Guest Services Priority Line for 4 & 5 Star Mariners replaced by Club Orange. I continue to get confusion about what used to be the priority line for 4 and 5 star Mariners. The Orange Club sign replaced the 4 & 5 Star Mariner sign about 2 years ago and whether the personnel take care of 4 and 5 Star Mariners varies from ship to ship or management. Some will say yeah, you can use this priority line but some don't even remember there was the 4 & 5 Star special line and ask you to join the main queue. 1. What is your interpretation of the policy? 2. Have you experienced the same issue?
  2. Hi we are on the Zuiderdam and yes it was foggy today. There were some breaks in the fog (on and off) throughout the day. We did get off however and were able to enjoy the city. Glad it did not rain and the temperature was fine.
  3. I agree also 100%. I often attended Lincoln Center performances while cruising and I cruised often with HAL. It seems the same thing is happening with the BB King All Stars too using the BB King 2.0 with the Rolling Rock band. They are good but things are changing too fast without and feedback from HAL Mariners and guest
  4. Wife told me it is charged on the ships statement but there HAL has a policy that the 18% gratuity will be applied. In addition, an 18% service charge is automatically applied to all beverage purchases, bar retail items, specialty restaurant cover charges, all for-purchase a la carte menu items, and all Spa & Salon services 1. Local sales taxes are applied where required
  5. Question: What is an Educator Credit? What is an AARP credit? Is it a Gift card or something else? Thanks
  6. This gratuity is fairly new. I would think the $149 ea/ pp for 7 days would cover that cost. Gratuity should cover personalize services only. I'm in a Carnivals Cloud 9 thermal suite right now and there is no gratuity charge..
  7. This seems to be a new way of charging while cost cutting.
  8. My wife and I have always used the Thermal Suite (couples pass). It is a nice place to relax away from the crowds and noise. I am very disappointed however that HAL has started to assess 18% gratuity for weekly TS. I don't see how they should charge this since there is no personal service involved like a manicure or massage.

  10. Pet Peeve: 18% Gratuity for use of Thermal rooms only. (Def: "Given by customer for the service they have performed, in addition to the basic price of the service"). If I purchase a week in the thermal rooms (pool, sauna, towels etc) and they price it that way, why is there a separate gratuity charge?
  11. I believe VPNs are blocked by cruiselines.

  13. Happy 150th Birthday HAL. Celebrate the Orange Party for us.
  14. Kimberly is a talented Cruise Director and friend. We have been on 2 HAL ships together at 4 different times. Good luck Kimberly on your African cruise!!
  15. I was on HMC last week and although there was no visible construction going on, there is some talk among the workers. The port I understand is on the other side of the island so it is no easy to see,
  16. Just off Koningsdam this morning. No tiles but a memo of apology and promise to redeem if presented on next cruise. Suggestion. Rather than wasting the printing cost why don't they update everyone's Navigator in the Accounts section where guest can show to Guest Services on their next cruise to redeem. How many people will lose that card their next cruise? This may also be a means for HAL to electronically track the number of backlogged tiles. If you agree please respond AGREE. Thanks

  18. Would appreciate any information you could share about Club Orange dining on the Eurodam. 1. Is Club Orange a separate section inside the MDR or is everyone put together but separate tables? 2. Is Club Orange on the upper or lower level? 3. If you are Club Orange can you walk in at any time or do you need to reserve a table each night or beginning of cruise. 4. Any pictures of setup would be appreciated. Thanks 😊
