  1. We always carry on our luggage so it's waiting on the bed as soon as we get back from lunch. We hate waiting for it which can happen sometimes.
  2. I think they've reached the limit that many people will pay from those I've talked to on the last cruise. Many people felt that they were being pushed to drink much more that they would have otherwise & they would rather just buy what they wanted in the future. We shall see.
  3. I found that some T shirts they returned from cleaning still had to be ironed. Not a big deal. At least they didn't shrink them.
  4. I've notices some cutbacks in selections and in the quality of items they've prepared. Many of the meats are of a lower grade and it's quite evident compared to previous cruises last year. It becomes a hit or miss as what to expect when selecting what to take. There were things missing from past years that I knew they used to have. Still, there were sufficient items that you'll not go hungry. If something isn't OK, then just don't eat it.
  5. Wow, now that's a big difference from the attitude of the rest of the crew. There's all so helpful & can't do enough to make everyone feel welcomed.
  6. We just returned from the Enchanted and they've recently locked out connections to the HDMI input. ☹️ Earlier last year it was an option but no longer. My Roku device would no longer even connect- it wasn't even on option BUT their USB input is still available to switch to. I had a HD formatted for NTFS which worked and another HD formatted with exFAT which didn't work. when I arrived home I reformatted it for our next cruise. I suppose a thumb drive would also work with the correct formatting. I didn't try. Once the HD was in place, it stayed there tucked in behind the TV only having to switch the input as needed. Their remote, once switched over with the toggle switch, worked OK for navigation & volume. Using an external HD gives the advantage of not needing an external power supply as theirs is difficult to get to and our AC outlet was across the room on the desk and leaving an extension cord laying on the floor wasn't a great idea anyway.
  7. Sorry, maybe it was. I didn't really pursue it. We were satisfied with the regular food & didn't care to spend the extra $$.
  8. They usually begin at 7AM with the walk offs & proceed rapidly with everyone else. By 9 AM you'll be hearing your name called if you haven't left the ship.
  9. I would be shocked if they gave you the same benefits but ley us know. It should prove interesting. If you look at the fine print it does point out (in my situation) that the new items are not included in my package. Not that I care for any of them anyway.
  10. To be honest I don't believe it makes much difference if you arrive early since theirs isn't much of a line to get in. The restaurant was packed when we were leaving all the time between 6:15 and 6:45. I imagine the service must have slowed to a crawl at that time. So much for arriving at 7 to 7:30 PM if you want to see a show. Our sailing was filled to capacity at 3,600+ and it showed everywhere from the DR, bars and lounges to the pools on sea days.
  11. That's exactly what I've heard from a close friend.
  12. We were almost tempted to go to Sabatini's & decided against it when we noticed the price had gone to $39. Alter reading the latest reviews I'm glad we didn't. I realize they're having a tough time of making a go of it with the increase in food prices but it is $39 which should cover their extra costs.
  13. Just be a little cautious when sending in delicate items for laundry. They can sometimes treat them a little rough & shrink some items that haven't been subjected to very hot dryers. In those situations I just wash out items in the sink & let them dry on their own in the cabin. Also- take pictures of each item in case they lose them on rare occasions. (it doesn't happen to often)
  14. My only problem is that the "butter" on Princess just isn't worth eating, not that he wanted 9 pats. It's completely tasteless, so why eat it a all?
  15. After a wrong number more than once it gets disconnected. See post #34.
  16. It's getting harder each day to justify being loyal to just one cruise line. At the same time we hate to give up what little benefits it does provide and there well aware of that situation.
  17. It appears as though it's the staff on each ship that's responsible for those menu's. Some do, some don't, keep up with those postings.
  18. I hope that never returns to Princess.
  19. I'm with you about the MDR, especially on formal evenings. Why not enjoy the better meal and also celebrate the next evening at the Specialty restaurants also?
  20. It's so nice that Princess is accommodating people to allow them to dress down recently. It makes for easier packing and a more relaxed vacation if you so choose. also- you stated- The app is nice to track the # of drinks, and you can view you bill daily to ensure no additional charges. I looked high & low for this on our Enchanted cruise but couldn't find it. Neither could the medallion help center or any of the bartenders. I'm now wondering if this feature is dependent on the ship your sailing.
  21. It should arrive shortly. They do like to drag it out.
  22. The only steak we saw at the buffet was a minute steak.
  23. I found the menu's to have all the same offerings on the Enchanted recently.
  24. Not that we want to but I'm not sure if it's even possible to remove the locate feature for cabin mates?
