  1. You’ll get a paper in your cabin, tells you about the cocktail hour daily and the party, wine tasting too. The canapés, you just call room service and tell them you’d like them on formal night. You can tell them a time and request a certain canapé if you have a fave. The tea you should order the day before, although we have asked in the morning of and it was okay. The amount of food has greatly decreased on the tea, but we were very happy, as it was way too much for us before. We just ask for tea and scones, because when they brought sandwiches, it was too much for us. Each ship may handle it a little differently, so just call room service and ask. Internet is 50% discount, MedallionNet..prepurchase on the App. Enjoy..
  2. I love CC! All great ideas for you. Let us know how it works out for you. Here’s a link for the YVR testing. https://www.yvr.ca/en/passengers/travel-planning/takecare/covid-19-testing
  3. Are you talking about using the website instead of the App? Go to princess.com log into your account click on manage my booking click check in It tells you to check in on the App… but look closely…. Right under Download App or Google Play it says: Try our web version….blue letters click on that. Don't have a compatible device? Try our web version(opens in a new window) If you click on the blue letters above, I have given you, it is a link for you. You’ll need to log in and go from there.
  4. I would check on the roll calls for cruises right now that are ending in Vancouver in the ship you are sailing and ask what the procedure is ob. The PCL website suggests you book an appointment for the airport testing. Voyages ending in Canada: Guests are responsible to arrange their COVID-19 tests and pay directly to the testing facility. If departing Canada by air, guests are highly encouraged to pre-reserve COVID-19 testing appointments at the Vancouver or Quebec airport in advance. Please note, tests are not required for guests disembarking in Vancouver and returning to the US via motorcoach.* We encourage guests to review their home country’s health authority and travel websites for the latest guidance on required testing and timing for return travel. If guests would prefer to have the required test completed while still on board, Princess has partnered with Optum so that before traveling to the ship U.S.-based vaccinated guests can order an FDA-authorized at-home antigen test kit, shipped to their homes in three business days or less. Guests can take these tests on the ship, using MedallionNet to complete the required, video-supervised visit with an eMed Certified Guide through telehealth services. These guides help administer the test and verify the results, usually within 15 minutes. The lab result report is delivered by email and can be printed or displayed on your mobile device during check-in. Please place your order with enough time to receive the test at home before going to the ship. Order your test kit online^. Or, if you order ahead of time, the proctored tests through Emed or Optum, you bring those with you and test ob the day before. They are not cheap. You will need the internet. I would ask if they are offering free internet in the Internet cafe to take these proctored tests or do you have to buy the internet for 1 day? Those currently sailing should be able to help. I would also ask what the tests cost, or look it up for the Vancouver airport.
  5. You probably need to call the IT department. When you call Princess pick the option for DMW. Or, email them, explain exactly what you booked and it doesn’t show. They work by date of travel. Your full names Date of sailing Ship Booking number Good luck.
  6. It may not have taken it. You get an acknowledgement when you book it. Try it again, but reserve 1 day at a time. Same time, same DR every day.
  7. Sometimes it IS only for new bookings. But, if you have not reached final payment… You can ask to cancel and rebook, if yours is a refundable deposit, which most are on Princess. But… If you rebook, You would want your agent to do it quickly, so they can grab the same cabin, or a similar one. Talk with them about it. The agent should be able to do this without calling Princess. I did this in March, because they would not refare it. It was for new bookings only. If you booked any online services or prepaid anything, you will get those to be refunded. It took about a week for me to see them on my cc. Then, once the new booking shows up in the App, you can put your DMW back in and MedallionNet, etc.
  8. Never heard that! They normally have you go to the counter at the port to pick it up. Maybe they meant to say the port? I’ve gotten mine 14-10 days before the sail date. Recently, the informed delivery showed it 2 days before it came. Its not a big deal to pick it up at the port. Really easy You'll probably still get it though…
  9. They must be overwhelmed with all the schedule changes, cancelled flights, etc. I know they are working by date of travel. Did you check with the airline to make sure your flights and times were the same? Your seats are assigned, if allowed? If you call the airline again, ask them if their is a deadline for ticketing? Would be interesting to know. Let us know.
  10. Here’s one of the forums regarding EZAir. You’ll note one had not been ticketed and the big issue was due to a schedule change. There are always going to be schedule changes. So, make sure you have the airline App on your phone and you can check schedule changes all the way up to the travel date. Bottom line: I will continue to use EZAIR and watch my flights for schedule changes and ticketing. You should do this even if you book yourself or through a TA. Sorry if I’ve complicated this. Just trying to help.
  11. Only what I have read on the forums from guests who have had problems. i use EZAir when the price is better than I can book myself with the airline, or I use miles quite often. I do have bookings on EZ Air for 2023. The posters came on the forum to ask for help. Many times they ask for advise and you never hear from them again. The ticketing is set up programmatically and should be automatic. There may have been a schedule change and somehow it did not get rebooked. Who knows? Would be really nice if the poster would let us know on the forum. That’s why I would always check the booking on the airline website and make sure it’s ticketed. So, did they check for ticket numbers on the travel summary? Or, on the airline website? Please let us know.
  12. No, not necessarily. Go to the PCL website, manage my cruise, cruise personalizer, look at your travel summary… you’ll see at the top of the page.. luggage tags and travel summary Click on print travel summary… EZ Air booking: You should see next to your name ticket number….. Once it’s ticketed. The website for most airlines have a receipt button, where you can email it to yourself, only if it’s ticketed. You can also call the airline, ask if it’s been ticketed. If you have a TA, they would know. After final payment….EZ Air usually tickets about 45 to 30 days before sailing. You probably are too early to be ticketed, but check it out, so you’ll be prepared.
  13. Very kind of you to post. It is posted on the website, referencing the mask mandate, in Alaska. It was updated on June 3rd. It has always stated, under health protocols, that it may change in different venues or situations and signage will be posted. Stay safe.
  14. Yes, there are 2 areas. This was the first time I saw the setup there for the whole cruise. They have previously had it set up near the piano. They said they would open it when it was a full ship. Ha We sat in that area a lot on the Golden 2019 Transpacific. Thanks for the reply.
  15. Disembarking in the US by cruise ship… No covid required, at this time.
  16. I wonder if the covid cases are high, guests and crew? That would definitely add to the problems. They also have been doing crew change overs. More new crew. Are they still blocking one of the circular seating areas in the piazza with the band setup?
  17. The Voyager in downtown Anchorage is being used by some lines.
