  1. Depends on the ship. Many ships say they will open when ships return to full loads. Others say a supply issue. This is for Steamers seafood on PCL. I would suggest follow a current roll call for the ship you will sail on and ask them. Many changes can happen though, depends when you are sailing. Are you working on the ship, maybe I need to sail on that one. Just kidding!
  2. Why don’t you use a PCL CVP? Couldn’t they book the discount rate for you? Then you wouldn’t have to wait or get transferred? Mine could see the casino discount rate and the code to use. Just wondering…🤔
  3. They are half covered, large balconies. Our favorite deck on the CB. Are you trying to open your balcony with family/friends next to you? They do open, by your cabin steward. Unless, it’s a fire door. Check the deck plan, and you can tell by the cabin numbers. Give us an idea which ones you’re looking at?
  4. IC, Vines and Albertos on Sapphire! I would go on Sapphire for sure!
  5. Awesome! Did you book online or with a PCL CVP?
  6. I see, you meant to quote dddone, not me. They must have more room service employees to answer the phones? Maybe dddone will answer?
  7. I assume this was a previous post of mine about room service? I ordered in the App, but it did not show the free drinks, like iced tea at lunch, so I called to say I just ordered lunch, and please add iced tea, etc. This was on the CB in March and the room service line was answered. The covid was low at that time, and we could get through quickly, usually. After it went through the canal on the 18 day, I heard it was a lot more difficult to get through.
  8. My PCL CVP calls herself a Cruise vacation planner, not a PVP like Carnival calls themselves and some other lines.
  9. Thanks for sharing. I hope everyone recovers quickly! Take care
  10. How nice! I hope fleet wide, they implement this procedure. Are they on a quarantine deck or in their original cabins?
  11. There airport shuttle to the hotel was $12 per person in March and uber/lyft was $14 total for the ride. We just get a Lyft or Uber to the hotel. To the port, they use a third party and there’s a charge. Again, we used lyft to the port…it was $12.99 total for the total ride. Also, we wanted a private ride, without a van full of people and go when we wanted to go. You could just call or email to see what the port van costs. This is a very popular hotel for cruisers and there are a lot of people waiting for the port van.
  12. I would contact PCL and insist she be put on a waitlist for a cancelled accessible cabin? No matter where it is? They can do an upgrade if needed. Do the PCL wheelchairs fit in the doorways? Could she rent a narrow wheelchair or scooter? I have seen people leave these in the hallways, even though you’re not supposed to. If she does go, I would immediately go to Guest services and ask for the hotel manager to rectify this situation if possible with an acceptable cabin, in case there is a last minute cancellation. It is a last resort, but possible if someone cancels with an accessible cabin. Sounds like a mistake made by someone in the reservation division or a computer error.
  13. We just base it on the itinerary and what works with our schedule. Love Barcelona. Where do you want to go? We love Malta, Rhodes, Santorini, Amalfi coast. Okay, we also try to plan it with a b2b with a TA in one direction.
  14. My refunds recently have taken about a week to show up on my cc. These are ones I prepurchased with my cc and I cancelled them. It really depends on how busy they are processing them.
  15. Hopefully, they are deep cleaning the quarantine and isolation rooms! 😳
  16. Yes, it too depends where the GE office is located. Initially, we had to fly to Denver (closest GE office) and it was located outside of security. Would have to go through security again. It has been super fast through customs with just facial recognition. Like a lot if the ports are now.
  17. Same here! Renewal was super easy.
  18. I have seen a lot of wheelchairs and rollators with the crew helping. Just let a Princess agent know whenever you need help. When you first arrive at the port, let someone know and they’ll help you get on too.
  19. On sea days there is an afternoon tea in a DR, anyone can go. It is still really nice after the restart. We went once on our last cruise in March. Same service and delectables. You will see it in the patter.
  20. Yes, they were doing in Feb and Mar on our cruises.
  21. Afternoon tea has been operational on our cruises as well as wine tasting.
  22. It is however a good place to visit with your family or meet mew friends before dinner. Usually quiet.
