Itinerary has alot to do with it. Take a spring break cruise or a short weekend cruise on either line and expect chaos. We did an 8 day panama canal in feb on carnival, and its sure wasnt a party ship. At 55 we were at the younger end. Almost no kids. Same ship, 4 night weekend and party central i am sure. Royal is more expensive especially when considering drink packages so that help keeping out the riff raff.

Well they have been pretty short. So they are redeploying staff. Not all ships are once a day yet, but as they are able to move staff around, it should equal out.

We play pretty hard at night, so naps are a must. Nothing like an inside room nap in a cool totally dark room with some humming ship noise.....

This process is seriously broken and royal needs to change it. Make sure you make it known on your survey. This has happened to me twice. I dont know why they open it up and then email you days later. Sometimes its on the first of the month before, sometimes not. It awards those who check everyday and i dont have time for that. If you get on early, you can book all the shows you want. Why not allow them to book two shows or maybe 3 and the rest on board. Make sure when you get on you book your whole week immediately. You still may have to standby which sucks as you have to show up 20 min early and wait in line to give yourself a good shot at a seat you can live with, but the seats will not be good. A Comedy show is not worth standing by if you are more than 10 in line and probably not even that. I started a thread shows on wonder sold out a few weeks back. More info there.

You never know, sometimes its just logistics, they likely wont upgrade a balcony to it, they will put a js in it and then a balcony in the js on down the line.

We figured he would come back, but he didnt. Because of trying to juggle everyones habits and naps, etc some days you will just miss. If you want your room cleaned now you have to make it available for them. We missed plenty one of the two a day services, but never cared. Now its an issue. Again on cruising i expect this very awesome and important service. We tip plenty for it. Its just one more thing that makes cruising fun. Someone else makes your bed and takes out the trash and dishes and refills your ice, glasses and changes out wet towels. We dont leave a thing of personal stuff anywhere.

Your attendant has 35 rooms to clean on that ship. Who has time to look for socks???? Our mattress in feb was also the worst i have slept on. They will probably replace them in dry dock. Don’t be discouraged, you will have good and bad cruises, its just how it goes.

Well maybe the smell and the beaten mattress is from the 14 day old person nude cruise that took place feb 12-26..... YUCK!!!

I would imagine offers will or are being scaled back. I feel they got a little ahead of themselves post covid. We have gotten lots of offers and free cruises, but I don't feel we gamble enough to deserve it. Not complaining though.

I don't think all benefits start immediately. Your gonna have to talk to host once you hit the number of points needed. They do add a sticker to your card for prime for free drinks. Maybe internet as well???? I would buy the voom and then attempt to cancel the balance at guest services if you now get it free.

Well the sad part is, thats not gonna happen. We like to cruise and will put up with whatever in the end. They are all doing it now. That ship has literally sailed.

I have not seen much of casino offers on oasis ships. A few here or there, none on wonder. We used one of our two free annual prime cruise offers and this was the first week you could(due to ship being one year old). I hear a ton of others did the same. Did royal screw up? Well that depends how much we all leave in the casino. I watch people pump machines with many thousands of dollars and lose thousands at a table every cruise. I am sure it makes sense or they wouldnt do it. Cruise lines are very good at running a tight ship.

Not dirty, wet. We shower usually twice a day. The towels dont dry well in the bathroom. I guess i will have to bring a clothesline!!!!

Its cheaper with no discounts. Norweigian is best for solo the way i see it. On ccl drink package is cheaper, casinos have $5 tables, and from what i see fares as well.

Similar. Carnival a tad more on the tacky side but cheaper too. + and - on both sides. To me it depends on the ship, not the line.

Exactly for us every word you said. Same tip as well. Stewards are not happy and we arent either. Seems fine on the surface until you do it. And why didnt they cut the tip in half as well?????
