  1. Seems to me there has been a number of complaints on this board regarding the zuiderdam food so it’s not super surprising. That said, it being a world cruise it should be better.
  2. @don731were you able to add club orange or did you decide against it? Thanks.
  3. It's supposed to be capacity controlled so it might be a no go. You've got nothing to lose by calling.
  4. I’ve rarely found good prices out of the gate. I would say 90 percent of my cruises have gone down a ton between booking and when they sailed. There is a fine line when getting close to the sail date. I found some really good pricing on an April cruise but it was for an oceanview room. I could live with that but there were no cabanas available so it’s a deal breaker for me. If it’s an “exotic” cruise that’s a different story.
  5. My cruises aren’t cheap either. I’ve gotten maybe $50.
  6. I’ve yet to find a ta to get me any discount. Small amount of obc maybe. The last one I attempted to work with wanted to charge me about $700 over the hal website then blamed me for it. To the op, there used to be a website that did that. Don’t know if it’s around but we can’t mention it. The problem was if you had Mariners pricing it didn’t work for that. Cruise critic had a tool at one point. Don’t know if they still do.
  7. Thanks so much everyone. I appreciate all the replies.
  8. Thanks. It’s been a while so I couldn’t remember.
  9. Like I mentioned you are the only one that holds that belief. Everything I’ve read is to the contrary.
  10. I've tried to search for this information, but I can't find anything. Can someone tell me if they have the hand held shower heads for lack of a better word or are they a "fixed" to the wall shower head? Thanks.
  11. You are the only one that thinks this. The only one that came with the fix is the rotterdam. If you have other information contrary to this, please share it. Thanks.
  12. There is no way to tell this a don't think you'd ever be able to find out but I'm curious if the people that eat in the Lido for breakfast and lunch end up getting covid more than people that go to the mdr for instance. I try to spend as little time as possible in the Lido because I can't stand it.
  13. Exactly. And there is no reason to make posts reminding the op that they said it either. So what if they say never. I try not to say never because for sure I will end up doing it. It’s a given. I hope the op has a much better do over.
  14. If uou get your cruise for free it's pretty easy to have low expectations. I thought I'd heard everything when I saw that posters on here are busing their own and other tables. Because I refuse to do that for the thousands I pay I get told I'm lazy. The cheerleaders are well and alive and if you say anything negative best be ready to be told to get lost.
  15. I guess it depends on the fabric. If you have cotton the wrinkle spray has done zero on my clothes. If it’s polyester I find a day or so of hanging in the closet gets rid of the wrinkles.
  16. It wasn’t just at Christmas. Both my cruises in November were above capacity (one was thanksgiving) plus I was told by several staff that every cruise was over capacity in December. I can’t remember if the zaandam was in the area at the time but if that ship wasn’t sold out maybe it would have been possible to transfer some to the koningsdam. Of course any cruise that isn’t over capacity is going to be a much better experience. That’s a no brainer.
  17. They did transit the canal during the shutdown as I mentioned in my previous post. They had special permission to do that. It won’t be a normal thing. Before the shutdown the ship was scheduled to go around South America to get to the west coast. I know this for sure as I know someone that was scheduled on the South American cruise. That cruise was canceled very close to them leaving at the start of the shut down.
  18. No, 2 can’t use it at once. You can pay to have more devices but I don’t recall how much it was.
  19. Agree and now that I’m having a lot of mobility issues that would be a no for me.
  20. Absolutely, I understood the same thing. I can’t imagine what was so puzzling about that post.
  21. There is no need for this post. This is why I rarely reply to any of your posts. I’m sure any of my clothes are cleaner than anything else in that sink. I don’t wear my clothes for a month.
  22. It’s not just your query. This comes up constantly. There is also a constant parade of people squatting in the area even though there is signs to say it’s a private area. Before I bought a cabana I stayed behind that rope because I respect the signage. There were dudes that invaded the area multiple times a day. The stewards had to keep kicking them out so this is a huge sore spot for me. If you are talking on the pinnacle ships I believe there is an area mid ship with some very nice cabana like seating. Absolutely free. No idea if there is a hot tub because I don’t want to sit in people stew 🤮.
  23. Yes and that is why people rent cabanas. To get away from noise and congestion of people. At least that is my reason. I don't really understand why people think the area is open to the public. It's pretty steep for Canadians after the conversion. I'd rather not pay for it either but if I want a place to relax that's the price I need to pay.
