  1. I’ve had the halibut in the pinnacle a few times. It has not been good. I did have it in club orange and it was excellent.
  2. You best believe it’s a different experience than the unwashed. I’ve heard how different things are when the executives are on board. Why don’t they have business as usual? One of the things I’m not crazy about at work is the offsite we have on a monthly basis. They are very stressful as you must speak on subjects I know nothing about. You work in teams of people you don’t know. The good that comes from them is that the management has implemented suggestions that we all have come up with. They are not afraid to get in the trench with everyone for the greater good.
  3. I agree with places like Alaska but any hot weather cruise they are ideal. I've never found them to be too windy unless it's cold in addition.
  4. Yes, I'm not afraid to ask. I asked about the misters one time. They told me repeatedly there were none on the ship. When I got off the ship the next day they had them for sale. I mentioned it again and when they told me there were none on the ship I'd told them where they are. The next day I had one. On my last cruise I wanted a cold cloth. I can get the cloth but trying to get ice is like pulling teeth because they are running around getting food for everyone. I was told the boss said they weren't doing the cold cloths anymore. I ask for so little (never ask them for food) so it's very disappointing. I still tip them for some strange reason.
  5. Cabana amenities are listed on here. Some you get, some you don’t. I think I have pics. Let me look https://rogerjett-photography.com/here/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/HAL-Cabanas.pdf
  6. Haven’t seen a survey. My last cruise was supposed to be a culinary cruise. I didn’t book it for that. It just happened. Chef Rudi was on there, that was about the extent of it.
  7. If it works ok for you more power to you. I think most people that work are pretty bogged down at least in the private sector where you have to report to shareholders. To me that’s the ta’s job. They should have to earn their commission.
  8. This is the "fun" of having a TA. You'd think every TA in the world is amazing when you read these boards.
  9. Thank you for your review. I enjoyed reading it.
  10. I have a watch that I charge with a usb cord. It take much longer on the ship than it does at home so I don’t think whatever it is, is the same as home.
  11. Did you actually read the post I quoted? It had nothing to do with casino free cruises so I have no idea why you are talking about it.
  12. You can. I had my ticket on my phone ready to scan and she insisted on using my cruise card 🙄.
  13. What are you having trouble with? Hal calls it a suite and you get double points. I read the world cruise blogs, not all but fairly often. I’ve yet to hear any of them say I wish this was on the zaandam so what are you getting your theory that it’s preferred by world cruisers? I’m happy if they use the zaandam though, so the newer ships are open for shorter itineraries.
  14. There is something very odd about that situation. I believe that the next cruise on that ship is February 4th. I’ve always been told that can’t see the reservations for the next cruise until about 2 days before so how can she possibly see what has been booked for February 14 this early? I’ve heard it multiple times so it not something made up.
  15. I’ve had club orange 3 times since the upstart. There has been no special event. The orange party is totally different and separate, open to the entire ship.
  16. If they ever made you do that I would never book cruises as separates. I did choose to move rooms once and that was enough. I moved from a balcony to a Vista on the koningsdam and it was a huge waste of money
  17. Yeah that sucks. If my memory is correct that changed with the start up or maybe just before.
  18. I'm sorry but I don't understand why you'd ever think that. I often get in my head and worry endlessly but that never occurred to me at all. The only time I've heard of anything remotely like that is when they were covid testing between cruises and you tested positive.
  19. While I have been successful in getting $250 for 2 separate 7 day cruises I’ve sometimes had to work for it. When I send it in I tell them it’s 14 days so please credit me for $250. It’s been ignored so I have to send it again. Usually it goes through the second time. Just be very.clear going in and don’t be afraid to ask twice.
  20. Yeah that's the reason 😀. I take responsibility for my decisions, good and bad. This is key. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
  21. I’ve yet to hear of anyone that was not able to book restaurants ahead of time. I’ve heard of one person that couldn’t use their shorex immediately. It’s very possible I’ve missed these posts. If you have seen posts to say people couldn’t book ANY restaurants with their hia promos ahead of embarkation please provide a link. It’s seems like a non issue or there would be a huge fuss about it. I find it very interesting that people could be saying the same thing as I do but you only quote me. Would love to hear why.
