That's what it was like on the koningsdam in March. It's a totally different vibe of indifference from the officers on the ship now.

If you book with your initial booking they insist you pay for it immediately, at least that has been my experience. When I've questioned them about it I've been told that I can't have the upgrade until I pay.

Just carnival corp? I would think all the cruise lines have. You still have to treat passengers with respect. That costs absolutely nothing. I’m pretty sure a very large percentage of every company on the face of the earth lost money during Covid.

While I think they would notice in the past I don’t think it would even register now. I bet they wouldn’t even notice because most hal ships are so packed. I don’t think they even care. People are going to tire of that.

I’ve eaten in club orange, tamarind, sel de mer and Canaletto on the koningsdam. As you mentioned, all are quite slow to take your order but as you say the food does come out fairly quickly. The food has definitely changed in the tamarind. Spring rolls are now like tempura. They mentioned it’s because they can’t get the wrap anymore yet the mdr has them at lunch. Thanks for the heads up on the disembarkation tags. I can totally see that happening on the koningsdam as they are not providing any info from the front desk. They say it’s being sent out but housekeeping is losing it 🙄. My cabin stewards are excellent, so no.

That would be wonderful. I think hal is about 20 years from now giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I will likely sail with celebrity next even though I haven’t been thrilled with them in the past. It’s been a while though. Many of the employees on the koningsdam are great but I’m just so tired of their guest services. So many lies. When you walk through the ship rarely do I hear hello unless it’s someone I’ve already met. That’s a first on a hall ship for me. It’s a totally different vibe from March. Food has been excellent on the ship so that hasn’t changed. One of my friends just completed his first celebrity cruise so I’m looking forward to his take on it as I value his opinion. Maybe the grass isn’t greener?

Sorry not feeling sorry for you. I see no good deals. For the first time in years and years I will have nothing booked. Even had cruises booked in the height of the pandemic. Hal has lost its shine for me and I’m ready to try another line again.

I can tell you I would not be happy to be in anytime dining on the koningsdam tonight. I came to club orange at about 5:40 tonight and it was full. The line up to get into the mdr was half way down the ship for probably an hour. I recently read that there is no line up on the koningsdam for anytime dining. Tell that to the people that were probably 300 deep in line to get in 🙄.

I was to receive my gold medal yesterday and was invited to the presentation. I didn't go because I'm super annoyed with hearing one lie after the other from guest services. Everyone on the ship is great otherwise. I think my medal debarked by itself today. It's Mia.

It was excellent last week. This week it's a zoo not surprisingly. I'm sure everyone and their dog has club orange.

That's right. Sorry about that. I turned my data on because the internet is glacial. I wasn't able to find out much info. It wasn't clear where the meeting point was. Was also in a rush because we were corralled up for the authorities.

Did you need me to take a picture of my Garmin watch? Actually you've gotten it wrong yet again. It's between 10 and 15 k steps a day when I'm working. I'm doing around 10k or less on the ship. I am moving all day from about 4am. I.walk to the bus, around the floor, around my condo. This is what happens when you hold a job and are not a trust fund baby. I never, ever said I do long walks. Right now I've done 7498 steps and it's 1:15 pm.

The reason I was doing this was because I had $100 per week shorex. I don't really want to use uber here and I'm not excited about doing it via taxi alone. I can't crawl into a passenger van but if you know a tour company that might use a small bus I won't be crunched into that may work. I do a lot of steps a day but walking that far is not doable for me anymore. I know i could research myself but the internet is very slow for the most part. Thanks.

I can't remember the exact name but it was a funicular to an observation point to overlook mazatlan. I was excited about it because I've never done it before and it wasn't too long. I watched a YouTube of it and it looked great. I had booked it for both weeks.

I hope someone will let you know. It's a big deal to me as well. I haven't been able to use my shorex credit. I had the same shorex booked in mazatlan both weeks. Both have been canceled as far as I can see. Trying to get information on some things is like pulling teeth. I've been given incorrect info more than once. The water On the entire ship was off part of last night. No advance notice or no explanation. Some crew couldn't even have a shower first thing today. I tried to find out info on taking another shorex and the guy couldn't have cared less. I'd be surprised if you are able to get info on the tender. I'm still waiting for info on reporting to authorities tomorrow. Called said I would get it. When?

It is. I don't personally get fussed if people ask other questions. On that vein we did get notification that we will be tendering in puerto vallarta next Wednesday.

Do you mean pre pays or discounts once on the ship? On the ship seems OK. I've only has one paid for meal. I had prepays, hia promos and 5 star freebies ( how dare I mention it) so its hard to say.
