So I looked at your posts and you were actually the one that thought that drinks in the pinnacle were not included. May I ask where you are getting this information from? The only place I can think of that the signature beverage package doesn’t apply is hmc. Don’t think you can use it for the mini bar either. You can have up to 15 drinks a day. This includes water, coffee, liquor etc. Only the small water is included. It doesn’t matter where it is other than what I’ve listed. I hope that eases your mind.

Are you talking Alaska or something else now? I pulled up the only 2 ships in April of hal and prices are $979 and $1329 usd for balconies. This is on a large online cruise seller. When you do the conversion to cdn the more expensive one is about $1800. Not peanuts for Canadians.

I don't know why people always quote inside rooms. Limited appeal for some. How much are the balconies? There is always a lul in cruises early December and early January.

I think you’d be hard pressed to get that price in Alaska unless it’s a one way trip. You add air on that and it becomes pretty expensive. Inside rooms aren’t in as much demand or the ship be full of them. Most people on an Alaska cruise are likely not paying $299.

I almost always forget to go to the Dutch cafe for coffee in the morning. I just always head to explorations and usually it’s further away. Old habits die hard.

I’m not a huge alcohol drinker but I do like a coffee, water, Perrier and virgin Caesar’s. I do have some cocktails with dinner. It will also save me buying a wine package. When I don’t have it I tend not to have random “drinks”. It’s just nice not to think about it.

I really think they will honour it. Stranger things have happened.

I have to remember to do this on my next cruise since I’ll have some extra obc. Great way to spend it in my mind.

The koningsdam on the west coast seems to be going out at almost capacity. I can believe that the ships in the Caribbean are much less full. Lots of capacity. They should send the Rotterdam to the west coast for some 10 day cruises. I can see that being successful.

The Dutch Cafe is certainly included. I wonder where this odd information is coming from. Someone said the other day you can't use it at the pinnacle which is also incorrect. You can get specialty coffees at explorations Cafe as well.

As much as hal has its flaws I’m amazed that they can actually keep track of these things. I have been told I would have a certain amenity and I did actually get it after cruise after cruise was canceled. That said I couldn’t tell you if there was a time stamp on mine.

The whole key west situation has been on the radar for quite a while it seems. I don’t understand the whole “bait and switch” theory. That said, I don’t know why hal continues to keep it on itineraries when it’s likely to not get there. Ports will get charged. It’s part of cruising.

Yes but the ship was half full at that point. The koningsdam is almost at capacity at least the last few weeks.

Unfortunately I don’t think that’s going to help too much. Cruises can vary from one cruise to the next depending on the make up of the crowd. That said, it’s been my experience that earlier is generally more busy than later.

There was a time that you received a discount on the upcharge amount. No need to make remarks about it. The last time I was on the koningsdam they said they don’t do that anymore. People have reported that they have gotten it unless they are confused about what discount they have gotten. I emailed the Mariners society and never got an answer. I called on another item so I asked. They said it’s not a thing but I know for sure I’ve gotten it in the past. It was never on the mdr items. Just the specialty restaurants.

It won’t be me. People seem to love it so they are going to capitalize on it. I’d love to have a piece I’d string and bring some bacon with me and make my own appetizer 😛😉.

Well I think for some the idea is to bend over and tell hal how much you enjoy it. Apparently having standards is a bad thing. If you pay $200 for a cruise maybe that acceptable. When you pay multiples not so much at least for me. If I want to be annoyed on a vacation I might as well save my holiday time and stay at work.
