  1. 100 percent. I could say I’m amazed at the judjee mcjudgers but actually I’m not. Compassion for others is a wonderful thing that seems in short supply. I’ve been on land hotels where the wifi sucked worse than any cruise ship. I guess anyone that needs to do any work has no business traveling 🙄.
  2. So what about people that have their own business, would they fire themselves? How dare they take a break. What about people that are selling a house, or someone that has a family emergency. How dare they step on a ship when they know this could happen. I’ve seen a lot of people that had karma slap them across the face for things that they never thought would happen to them and voiced that only to have karma tap them on the shoulder.
  3. Yes, only people that are retired or trust fund babies should be on a ship 🙄. Working people don’t deserve a vacation. I’m constantly amazed and not in a good way. I don’t think anyone is talking about working 24/7. That said I do remember a thread right around the start up about a Covid experience where this person was working remotely the entire time with zero issues. I want to say it was on Royal but I could be wrong. I will not be working on my cruise but I get that people do. It’s very easy to understand.
  4. And yet they are not worried about handling out free cruises like candy. One less reason to go to the pinnacle.
  5. Exactly. This isn't a new concept after all. I have cruised on princess quite a lot. Never had an issue.
  6. Yup, you will get an additional charge. I wonder the same about the tamarind and Rudi's. I remember a few people on this board that swore it was only a test on the Westerdam and wouldn't move forward. So much for that theory.
  7. My point was that you don’t need to assume people are looking a grocery store flyers, cruise critic or whatever. It’s just like assuming people are standing in the club orange line at the front desk to ask the time and to hold others up 🙄. There should be working internet if hal has that as part of a package. I have had working internet on the ship before. It shouldn’t be a foreign concept. Clearly many people on this board have been retired for decades or are trust fund babies that don’t actually work so can’t remember what it’s like.
  8. I don’t understand the reason for a pcc if you have a ta. Otherwise generally speaking the pcc should be easier to reach especially by email. I’m very busy at work and people love to book meetings galore so it’s hard for me to sit on hold for hours, nor do I want to.
  9. Would love to hear some real world experience instead of conjecture.
  10. Wow just wow. There are people that actually work. People that have their own business, people that have to run payroll, nurses that have to book their shifts. How very judgmental.
  11. Why would you reward subpar service? This is coming from someone who tips well even when they shouldn't. I'm definitely not giving 20 percent in that case.
  12. This is the Amazon not Panama. Two totally different things.
  13. Yes based on the discount. It’s the same with wine packages.
  14. 🤮. I’ve heard this before. I’d like to do this cruise someday but I’d struggle with the bug situation.
  15. I agree. I had to be tested for b2b cruises as well as to fly home as was the rule in Canada at the time. It was done well for the most part. That said it wasn't as good in March 2022 when it was done in the pier building. Hal farmed it out to another company.
  16. Yup, I still use those mask for short term. I know exactly the ones you are talking about. The kn 95 mask were the ones provided in March 2022. I haven’t found any masks here that fit as well as those.
  17. Actually they provided kn 95 masks on the koningsdam in March. They were quite tight fitting. I liked them.
  18. There was a thread earlier this week so its not news. Someone on that thread reported the verifly signs have been taken down at the port. I dont remember any port mentioned by name. Figures they would do this once I got my verifly up and going. I'm going to take my vaccination papers with me as well just in case.
  19. I hear it’s 14 days. I have booked a few cruises that are 14 days but they have 2 booking numbers so I hear that doesn’t count. I guess it has to be a true 14 day or more.
  20. It’s in glass for the large bottles. For the smaller ones there “may” be the metal can with a screw top. They have gone to canned water that have a pop top. Once you’ve opened it no way to close it again. You are committed.
  21. Maybe on land. Are any f the cruise lines using them? Hal will at least 10 years behind that.
  22. Absolutely. Just as I said there are probably a lot of people that pay rack rate that don’t do anything extra. I’m just speaking of actual posts I’ve seen on here and some of the really hurtful things that people choose to say about people that do theses upgrades or things that make our cruises special. That’s putting money in the coffers for hal. You likely already know this but sometime the cabanas are sold out pre cruise except for the lido ones. Those I imagine are not in high demand.
