  1. This is a perfect example of a lost opportunity. The cost is next to nothing and the PR would be great. Its been my experience that the redemption people (usually dancers) have instruction to generously round up because it is such a simple and cost-effective way to score lots of goodwill at the END of a cruise - which is the best time to get it. If Regent doesn't capitalize on this easy opportunity, they don't deserve the benefits.
  2. Both Voyager and Mariner are scheduled for 17 days - that is a fairly large time block. I have heard some things and expect the upgrades to be very well received.
  3. I've gotten them often as well as Qatar Airways.
  4. Many states allow a minor to drink in the presence of their parent. https://www.webmd.com/mental-health/addiction/alcohol-laws
  5. No argument from me but I will say it only takes a short time to see if a port is available and to book it vs. booking early enough to make sure you have a guaranteed spot.
  6. No hate from me but I would be curious as to exactly what went wrong and what did the GM say/do about it when you discussed it with them?
  7. The only thing consistent among these opinions is their inconsistency. 🤪
  8. They "forget" to count when you redeem points...they can't very well charge you $1,500 per person per day and then skimp out and not give you a $6 t-shirt.
  9. If guests are remaining on board, it is not a charter.
  10. If they are remaining onboard it isn't a charter...
  11. Due to people in this age group often having foot issues, the crew is understandably lenient with footwear. The shoes you describe are fine.
  12. I see that...but I don't see what the context was as I neglected to quote a particular post. I do know that there have been recent discussions about moving future WC's to the Explorer. I do know that both Mariner and Voyager have drydocks coming next year and that Mariner's was going to be "special". I also know that the next ship will be a new class of ship with a slightly different purpose.
  13. I have no knowledge of that - nor have I posted about it. I could ask but I know Voyager has a drydock scheduled (17 days I think) late next year.
  14. Don't sweat it - Voyager is a wonderful ship and I wouldn't hesitate to go on her tomorrow.
  15. Your TA does - that is the only way to delete an excursion.
  16. Agreed! Regent allows and encourages families to cruise together. Seeking to block an age group that Regent allows would be like a guest trying to block those guests over 80. It's just ridiculous. As long as a guest behaves and follows the rules, they should be welcome.
  17. I would expect a good number of kids on board for this cruise. Regent should put on a staff member if there are more than 10-12 younger kids (nothing your 16 would be interest in) to assist (not babysit). The vast majority of people have absolutely no issue with kids and neither does Regent. If your kids are well behaved there will be no issues at all. In fact, it has been my experience that kids are better behaved than adults. You will have a wonderful time!!!
  18. I think it is Windstar. Their Dir. of Marketing lives there and is married to a senior Regent staff member.
  19. You have to call Regent and they will release it.
  20. I see it across the board from all cruise lines.....and they print all their documents right onboard.
  21. I made no statement of approval. I am just amazed that you think a cruise line would cancel a berthing months out to not incur the cost and then not tell the guests until they boarded. That would be fraud.
