  1. Agree 100% - you are here to be their parent, not to be their best friend. If you want to do what is best for them you will teach them how to respect and get along with others, how to support themselves and how to make the world a better place over their lifetimes.
  2. Tipping is included in your fare. This includes the butler. Having said that, we always tip people we feel went above and beyond. "Technically", each depart has its own policy about "extra" tips and they usually as supposed to declare them over a certain amount so that they can be pooled. I suppose if you spent a few days asking around you might find one new person who actually does this...but I doubt it. Do what feels right to you...it's good advice for tipping on Regent and for life in general.
  3. Yep...as mentioned in post #2. I added the clarification that you can walk the walker to the door to the plane door instead of just leaving it with the gate attendant.
  4. You can actually walk the walker to the door of the airplane and give it to them there.
  5. If you are checking a walker, it doesn't matter what class you fly. Your luggage is in the hands of someone who just doesn't care. I advise clients to gate check 2 walkers of the same brand - if something goes wrong, they can fix it on board.
  6. That crew member will be subjected to abuse by entitled passengers...I wouldn't wish that job on my worst enemy.
  7. Don't give up on the shorter cruises - they can be a lot of fun and the situation described above is not typical.
  8. They can put a lounger on your balcony if you like....or they used to do this.
  9. It doesn't matter where you go, as long as you are back in time. We will see how this plays out...

  11. I apology if my thinking was unclear (it happens). You , or the crew, see a passenger on board on the time but they are not at the top SSS gatherings. That's the big giveaway, IMO. Not me, I've never taken a discounted cruise...ever.
  12. You can do CR in 45 minutes if you tell them up front.
  13. I get your point but that is three ADULTS misbehaving, not two children.
  14. I can only tell you that you only get SSS nights if you pay regular prices...
  15. One way to tell who is travelling as a TA is that they don't earn SSS nights for doing so.
  16. The same could be said about some adult Regent passengers. I have seen horrific examples of behavior over the years. The kids are, by a wide margin, better behaved.
  17. Love to see kids on board - family first!!!!!
  18. That is a gross generalization on both fronts. I know TA's who literally rip off clients and couldn't care less about anything but money and I know Regent Reps who go above and beyond. The problem with generalizations is that they are almost never true.
