  1. 7 Dec, Freedom of the Seas - 2022 Reggae Jamrock Cruise - A big change from 10 years of Regent!
  2. Well, it is already at $105 per day right now.....up from $898.95 last week.
  3. We have been watching it online - it has gone up. I have heard you can get a Buy One, Get One for 50% off the first day - is this still true? There are 3 of us in the suite - any suggestions would be gratefully received! Ty!
  4. LOL, I know it sounds really ghetto but it works. Prob not what they want me to say but a good night sleep is worth a lot people. Close both sets of drapes as well - even the 3rd set heading towards the hallway.
  5. You can adjust the temperature in your room. If you cannot get it cold enough or hot enough, you can have the HVAC for your unit adjusted via an access panel in the hallway outside your suite. If it is still not hot enough or cold enough, check your pulse to make sure you are still alive and then follow my silly instructions above. 😃
  6. This is a wonderful vacation blog - thank you VERY much!!!!!!
  7. Just a little trick an officer taught me - stop the cold air from blowing into the LR so more goes into the bedroom. I know it sounds horrible but I love a very cold room and it came up in conversation one day. You go into any crew room and they have all sorts of things wedged into the ceiling to stop the creaking you find on any ship. 😃
  8. If you are hot in your room, they can adjust the AC unit in the hall to run colder. Also, keep your drapes closed...including the ones between the bed and the living area. As a last resort, put a strip of painters tape over the cold air outlet in the living area.
  9. You will find, in general, the same excellent food and service on all the ships. They are not loading their best people onto Splendor...although some staff do get a say in where they are assigned. Ray is the CD on Navigator and we think he is the best. Hopefully he will be on in 2 weeks. Navigator is not a flashy ship like Splendor - but we prefer her coziness over any other ship.
  10. There is also a special list kept of high night clients, clients in high level suites and clients who have sailed a lot within a short time period. Certain members of the crew are given this list prior to sailing to identify these high value targets.
  11. Might try it out - we always grab what we want but this sounds like its worth a try. Will be on Splendor soon - may grab one - ty!
  12. Sounds reasonable if you only get a very small amount!
  13. So you give Regent your money today and use it for a cruise in the future....what is the advantage to doing this over depositing a cruise? You are still bound by the cancellation policy. Do you get the FCC at a discount?
  14. Someone will be holding up a Regent sign near baggage claim.
  15. Regarding Dec 6 cruise... IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING HEALTH REQUIREMENTS DATE OF ISSUANCE: NOVEMBER 10, 2022 Dear Valued Guest and Travel Partner, We had previously advised that proof of Yellow Fever Vaccination was required for your upcoming cruise, however we have subsequently been informed by local authorities that it is only required if travelling from the following countries (travel includes transit stays that surpass 12 hours): Angola, Argentina, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French Guyana, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, Suriname, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and Venezuela. If this applies to you, please have your Yellow Fever Vaccination documentation available onboard. Proof of Yellow Fever Vaccination consists of an International Certificate Vaccination Card, approved by the World Health Organization. The card states the batch number of the Yellow Fever shot, the dosage, the date of inoculation and the doctor’s stamp. If you are medically unable to receive the Yellow Fever Vaccination, a medical waiver letter may be accepted in some ports. It is ultimately the decision of the local authorities regarding what documentation they choose to review and accept. In the event you do not have proof of a Yellow Fever Vaccination or a medical waiver letter is not accepted you will be required to remain onboard while the ship is in that specific port. Thank you for your attention to this matter. 16. Ask your TA to specify Mobility Assistance on the flights and the airport staff will shuttle you to the gate in a golf cart.
  17. It could also be your cache not clearing... https://refreshyourcache.com/en/cache/ Your ISP also has a cache that might not be updating yet.
  18. Carnival has faster internet and a much bigger budget...the price you pay has nothing to do with the technology you get.
  19. Depends what drug it is...some they are not allowed to refill within a certain time frame by state law. Best to discuss with your doctor and insurance company if you are going for more than 90 days. You can always have them filled while you are away by a family member and shipped out...I've done that for people before.
  20. PS - If you are asking about the insurance companies, they will typical do a 90 day supply. For longer cruises, your doctor will write a note and the pharmacy will fill for whatever you need - even if insurance won't cover it all.
  21. Bali (Indonesia) has extremely strict drug laws. You cannot get pre-approval for sleeping pills or anxiety meds or anti-depression meds. Don't even try. Better to walk through and, if you get searched, produce a doctors letter with copies of the prescriptions and pay the "cash fine". Don't bother with NZ/Singapore/etc...just bring doctor's note and pills in original containers. I bring whatever I need and I n130+ countries the only one I ever had a concern over was Indonesia.
