  1. just booked a private tour through Silver Moon for April, 2023. No hassles and we only had to pay 1/2 up front (8 person private catamaran). We have used them before and they are wonderful.
  2. You can, if you have their reservation numbers. You will pay for the whole party at the time of booking but can use OBC.
  3. No - just send out laundry. They may have specials later in the cruise
  4. Check your cruise planner - it shows up there under dining. You can reserve on-line and use any on board credit you may have.
  5. We did the NCL Star from Trieste to Barcelona in May and it was fabulous. We had a Club Suite, which was perfect for us. It was very port intensive (no sea days) but we loved coming back on ship and going to the Irish pub for a quick snack (free). Also love going to the Asian restaurant (also free) twice - plenty of options for dining and lounges so you are not bored. Since it was port intensive, we didn't take advantage of any night life (shows, bands, etc) but they were plentiful. Would definately cruise with them again
  6. The only thing you can't change when cruising (or any other vacation) is Mother Nature. We did the last Alaskan cruise on Serenade years ago. Did a lot of research and packed accordingly. Every port was the same - locals would tell us that we were so lucky to have this weather - sunny and 70s every day. That was not what I had planned on. Thankfully, the cruise went from Alaska to Seattle to San Francisco and ended in Los Angeles so I had "warm" weather clothes. Being from the Northeast, any temperature over 50 means shorts and an appropriate top (long sleeves to tank top). Enjoy!
  7. Check out cruise mapper as above - it is always good to know how many ships are in port on any given day - helps you plan out your day and book excusions in advance. We went to Cococay when 2 mega ships were in - we got off, walked around, had a drink at Jack's, and got back on the ship - even with reduced capacity (January, 2022) there were too many people on the island - not terrible, but crowded - not sure what it would be like if both ships were at 100% capacity.
  8. Nachi Cocom if you want to sit at the beach/pool, all inclusive drinks and food. Lovely venue, great staff, and they limit the number of guests so its not crowded. We have also done Mr. Sanchos - right next to Nachi Cocom - same benefits, cost, etc. but more people. It also has more water sports (for an additional cost). Have also done the Cozumel Bar Hop once - it was a great way to see the other side of the island - one small drink per venue and enough time at one bar to get some food. It was ok - loved the views and bars we went to, but it was a once and done for me.
  9. The memorial is powerful and a must for anyone visiting NYC. Enjoying your current review. Have a great cruise
  10. Just did a Venice (Trieste) to Barcelona with stops in Croatia (2), Montenegro, Corfu, Messina, Naples, Rome, Florence, Marseille. A bit port intensive (no sea days at all) but it was fantastic. Unfortunately, maybe for some (and we are loyal to Celebrity & RCCL), it was on the NCL Star - fantastic ship, great crew, loved the free style cruising, plenty of dining options (both pay and free), lots of great lounges. It crossed so much off our bucket list and we spent 2 full days in Barcelona before flying home - it was a trip that I would do again in a heartbeat!
  11. Have done 2 TA - last one in April on the Reflection (east bound). Love the sea days and we had just one day of rainy weather out of 15. No one can predict what Mother Nature has in store but I would do this again in a heart beat - actually, once the 2024 west bound schedule comes out, I'll be booking. Good luck and have fun
  12. Love the aft cabins - a bit of a walk to the stairs/elevators but I figure the walk is equal to a drink..... Honestly - we love the aft cabins - grab a drink/bottle at night and sit and enjoy the wake and stars.

  15. If you link all the reservations on-line beforehand, you should be able to make a reservation on-line also. Did this for our party of six - after the first night, they asked if we knew when we would be coming the next night. Worked out well for us - good luck
  16. The drink upgrade to premium will show on your sea pass once you get on board - if you look at your invoice, it may show the upgrade to premium but it will not show up on the website under your booking. Don't buy any drink packages - you will be fine. You may be able to upgrade to the better internet package, if you need it. We had it on our last cruise and it was ok, but we don't stream or anything so the basic would have be ok, for us. Think they will randomly assign your first night dining, but you can change that once on board if you want and book your other specialty dining at the same time - just go to any specialty restaurant or, on day 1, they may have crew tables set up to do this. Have fun - enjoy
