  1. Their Mariner nummer is assigned automatically, with or without account. JMO.
  2. Maybe this one. I would have a look there if visiting Marseille and craving for a bouillabaisse: And do not forget to click at the "carte" . https://youtu.be/7lXpp16tGKA Bouillabaisse minimum 2 persons and you willl have to reserve your table € 50 per person person on this page they specify the fish they use and which are a necessity for a good bouillabaisse. With crab.... https://www.grandbardesgoudes.fr/carte-du-restaurant Pity I donot have an opportunity to go there and taste.....
  3. Good advise! and I seriously hope someone with classified information on a laptop or other advise knows better than to bring it on a holiday (crossing borders etc).
  4. Too long ago that we had bouillabaisse in Marseille to give a recommendation. What we always do in France is using the Guide Michelin. Online you can use their app "Michelin Guide" Maybe you should forget about the ***, ** and * star restaurants, as it will not be easy to walk-in. Look for the Bib Gourmand (head of that Michelin man in all their advertisements) addresses. Bib Gourmand stands for Good quality, good value cooking. And I dare say that all restaurants named by Michelin are offering good quality. And as said by Hlitner: a good bouillabaisse is expensive
  5. Are we getting crazy in this world? Our behaviour i.c. booking that plane trip, is our own responsibility. And maybe can be included our excluded from our own personal insurance.
  6. You could ask the members of your roll call who sailed at the same date. More likely as it is your 4th contribution at CC that I should say the roll call.
  7. I saw half of the publication midday our time today. Time difference 9 hrs with Seattle....
  8. communication from Rijkswaterstaat July 18th.....
  9. Simple, that is the job of my DH. His own choice 😉
  10. Twin consists of 2 beds for 1 person. If next to each other there is a certain distance. A double has one bed for 2 persons; normally king- or queensize.
  11. 🙂 How do they know many people need this 😉 Thank you!
  12. I have been reading with much interest the descriptions of @Hlitner and enjoyed it, as I know the region from many visits and living in Monaco for a few years. Just a few notes: I would not plan visiting Monaco/MonteCarlo and St Paul in one day with that hired car; it might result in the last sentence of Hlitner "as long as we knew we could easily catch up to the ship the following day. I agree with @marazulthat the exit from the autoroute in Cannes can be horrendous. Depends upon season, day, time..... If you wish to visit Monte Carlo/Monaco, why not take the train as suggested by the others? From the railwaystation in Monaco a short ride by bus to the Casino Monte Carlo (I always loved coffee, lunch or drinks at the terrace of the Café de Paris). walk between the Casino and Hotel de Paris, alongside and down to the harbour, maybe cross the harbour by a little ferry and find the elevator to climb the rock and visit that part of Monaco. Driving in Monaco is no problem and it has lots of underground parkings (maybe still free if you donot park longer that 30 minutes), but number of stops to visit and parking consume your time.... I forgot: is you persist in visiting the very nice little town of St Paul de Vence: go there 1st thing on that Sunday morning. https://www.saint-pauldevence.com/en/loisirs/petanque-lesson/ Enjoy
  13. I would book a tour visiting both. (did it 3 times....).
  14. I wear those glasses with unfashionable cords.....with a lanyard and a little bag for my phone I would feel like a Christmas tree. So I like your question very much.
  15. My apology that I do not understand what you mean exactly. We had all kind of experiences: arranged wheelchair assistance via TA with airlines for outbound and returntrips. Worked perfect. got wheelchair assistance at airports the moment it became "too much" Like 2, at cruise terminals
  16. Part of the answer you need: On longer or shorter cruises we always use laundry service. Dry cleaning for everything that cannot be washed in the washing machine, like pants, ties etc of DH or silk dresses and alike. Perfect service. But please mention it when clothing needs special handling, like cold wash or no machine drying etc. However I do wash my "undies" (right word?) in the bathroom. shhht 😉 using bathroom shampo. Hang it in the evening and it is dry in the morning....
  17. @zhuangcorpDid you write all your 92 messages about food on HAL or did I miss something?
  18. My conclusion: The actual situation at the locks can only be checked by companies/agents who have a log-in code. As passengers we have to wait for the communications by our cruise company. (As the water levels itself are concerned: The information about the water levels in the rivers entering our country are not promising at all.) Could be interesting to check positions of ships entering and leaving the North Sea Channel in the apps for that purpose. Let me know if you have interesting conclusions, I have to leave as a granddaughter has her birthday today.
  19. If I myself could find it, I would publish it of course. Tried in vain yesterday. The last official communications I could trace mention blocks between 06:00 en 18:00. As I understand there are lesser blocks now. And the drought gets worse. I will check again and come back.
  20. No lanyards, but a small bag the size of my telephone and I join the keycard. And I would refuse wearing bracelets for identification too; all of this reminds me the cattle ID's in our country. 😉
  21. Changing the picture is not as easy as changing the text; text HAL only quite recently changed ?
  22. Just my experience: we walked from our ship to the bus station/railway station. Bus already left and no train connections etc that fitted. Walked back in the direction of the ship with 3 other disappointed cruise passengers and we saw a taxi, just standing there at the curb. He offered transportation to Taormina and back for a very reasonable price (compared to the sometimes crazy prices asked by taxi drivers at the cruise terminal). Payable upon return; who would expect that in Messina.... Great explanations by the driver on our way to and from Taormina. He dropped us at the porch to the center of Taormina and waited for us at the agreed time and place. Lesson learned: sometimes you are lucky missing a bus or train 😉
  23. Yes I/we have been to ST Tropez many times. We often used the ferry from Ste Maxime to St Tropez. Here you are: your schedules St Trop to Ste Maxime and Port Grimaud in english. The "navettes" are used by locals and tourists. JMO: Perfect way for transportation along the coast. https://www.bateauxverts.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/horaires-navettes-2022.pdf
  24. You are quite welcome. I can imagine you go back to that shop, Elsbeth is a very kind lady in my opinion and she really did her utmost to understand what was written. And I copy @Dutch_Travelgirlby saying: good luck with your quilting project.
