  1. My offer was made on 10/25 and It was not accepted. I did not really expect to win as there had not been any cabins available in the bid category for a long time. I never viewed it has a two way negotiation. I realize that with the new requirement of a charge card being submitted with the bid, it should avoid any confusion. Although this eliminates the option of paying with a FCC or gift card. You are not suggesting that once Princess accepts the bid, the bid can be modified? Good luck on your future bids.
  2. Are you sure it doesn’t actually say “your credit card will be automatically charged only upon acceptance of your offer by Princess.”
  3. I still think $60 a day plus gratuities is a bargain. I will still be in. It is nice for everyone to have options.
  4. You are so right. I am not sure why anyone would ever purchase just a (alcoholic or non) Beverage package. Just buy the bundled Plus or Premier. For a while Celebrity tried to force people into a “bundled package”, but they brought back the cruise only option. Princess cruisers with either book a cruise only package or one of the two bundles. Actually very smart way for Princess to implement this change. (Better than Celebrity’s disastrous implementation)
  5. True. But Princess’s Beverage package prices historically have been a screaming deal and significantly less expensive than their competitors. Since I booked this January’s Panama Canal cruise early, I only paid $40 a day for the equivalent of the Plus package. Even the current $60 a day is less than most competitors.
  6. It does make the Plus package seem like a great deal.
  7. What category are you considering? Is the $1100 additional for two people? Others have offered some good suggestions.
  8. Princess tried to give you that option, but it was not to be.
  9. You will find out for yourself in March 2025. I have been on two Oceania cruises. The Oceania experience is different depending on the ship category and the category booked. If food quality is your number one priority, I suspect you will be very pleased. My wife and I still prefer the overall Celebrity Retreat experience, but we would not hesitate to booked Oceania again. Although I do not care for their drink package options, their internet, and their Air program.
  10. Terrydtx, when did you last cruise in Oceania? Which ship?
  11. I will take whatever discount I can get. I would hate to see it no longer being offered.
  12. The OP did not say anything about printing their boarding pass. They will need access to the internet or Cellular data to check it and save it to their phone.
  13. Thanks. I also was not able to log into my Fire stick on the Emerald in January.
  14. What a great idea. I am going to try and do it.
  15. We’re you able to hook up your Firestick to the on board internet?
  16. You do realize that what you posted states - “your credit card will be automatically charged only upon acceptance of your offer by Princess.” It does not say acceptance by you, that happens when you make the offer. I believe that was Princess’s intent from day one. Princess tried to give customers the option to use credits/gift cards to make the payment. Unfortunately some cruisers were using those generous terms to default on their payment after Princess accepted the offer. I believe it was never intended to be a negotiation with a customer’s ability to “change their mind”. I guess Princess has closed that loophole.
  17. I am not sure what is confusing you. In order for a deposit to be fully refundable in cash, one typically has to pay a higher price for the cruise. Based on what you stated, the extra cost is $832? if you stay with the nonrefundable deposit the fare is $832 less. Celebrity’s definition of non refundable is $100 charge per person and the rest in a FCC.
  18. What is the date of the Beyond Panama Cruise? Those numbers do not seem like an Apple to Apple comparison. I want to check it out.
  19. Just to be clear. You asked specifically for Perrier (or ordered it) and it was not included on the Classic package? I was almost certain that Perrier was always included in the Classic non alcoholic drink package. I always get the Premium, so I am 100% certain,
  20. I believe Sparkling water has always been included in the Classic ((AI), just not Pellegrino. Might be wrong about this, but is the way that I remember.
  21. MDR Specialty Restaurants Room Service Are also excluded. But there are a lot of bars when they are available. I always wonder how many people on a cruise do not already have some kind of drink package.
