Yes, the bars that offer the drinks from the HH menu are crowded between 5-7 PM. It has been been a long time since one had to go to the Sky Lounge and/or the Michael’s Club to get free drinks. It started with the drink coupons on Elite heavy cruises. Maybe 10 years ago?

I can understand why you would be confused. I am fairly confident that with non alcoholic product like San Pellegrino you have to pay the full price. Bo’s suggestion is a good one, but you might be sacrificing your Elite discount in the upgrade. (If you have one). Mandi is very confident. Mandi have you cruised with a Classic package and purchased beers not on the Classic list? It would certainly be clearer without the comma and plus comment.

Or perhaps most people (not all) ) do not agree that the Retreat has experiences an ever decreasing product quality. The enhancement to the overall Retreat experience over the last 5 years is a Home Run for Celebrity IMO. Catering to those that spend the most money on a cruise has an amazing upside for both the customer and Celebrity.

I am not sure why, but sometimes I do not get an air confirmation from Celebrity Air. If you call CA, they will resend it to you.

I assume you have not yet made your final payment. You can always cancel your current reservation. Then go back into your reservation and get a new price. There is a risk that the price will be higher. Or better yet. You could find someone on your roll call that has not booked Celebrity Air to check the pricing on their reservation,

I am a little confused. I know that when pricing a cruise, you can check military or resident to see if a particular cruise offers a military discount. From my experience there is seldom a military discount. It has not been an additional discount on top of any other discount. For those veterans, are you suggesting you get a military discount on all or most cruises? Thank you.

Jim, glad that you are both back at sea. The lack of the main dining menu in Luminae was the only negative thing for us on the Apex. (the everyday items were the only items offered). So many really cool features in the Apex. Can you order from the MDR menu in Blu? I hope your cruise continues to be great.

Welcome to cruise critic. Something does not seem right. Can you provide us the ship and date for your cancelled cruise? Perhaps there is a misunderstanding. there may be an error of some sort.

What function are you using? Are you watching things that are loaded on your Firestick? Or have you connected your Firestick to the ship’s WiFi and watching on demand?

I thought you got a great price, because you did actually have a particular flight. Whey do you say that you flight was suppose to be at 11:59 AM? When did Celbrity assign you that flight?

Jim, Good luck. The Grand Hyatt is a really nice airport hotel if you take that option. Getting to Dallas is always a good strategy when flying on AA as they have so many flights options. I have had two long haul flights messed up in the last year. One from Maui to ORD and then ORD to Lisbon. Since flights do not have a lot of empty seats, booking a good replacements is a challenge. I take what I can get and keep checking to see if I can get something better. Best of luck.

Should be a great cruise. Several years ago we did a 14 day Tauck riverboat tour, Amsterdam to Budapest. And also a Tauck cruise in Portugal. My opinion is that the major focus of any river cruise is the ports and the associated land daily land excursions. Enjoy.

Thanks. I see where you might have some left after each cruise. This happens to me on other cruise lines. With Princess my TA just gives me the 10% as a discount.

Sorry that you had all those issues. What is the source of all your refundable OBC? Just curious. Unlike Celebrity, Princess TA are allowed to offer discounts. Therefore the only OBC that I have on Princess is from the Military benefit. My TA discounts the fare.

Yep. We were scheduled on that one. Celebrity was very generous and really took care of us. We took that 14 day cruise every year. The elimination of the regular 14 day cruise in the winter was the change that was the most disappointing for us.

Did you pay anywhere near the $800 pp pd for the Sky Suite that has been mentioned on this thread?

I find it hard to believe that anyone pays $800 a day per person for a Sky Suite. I have to wonder if that number is just when a particular cruise has very little inventory.

Good point. Apparently whatever Celebrity was going was not working financially.

I certainly see that it has value for those that book only standard fares. Are you saying that you did not swap out your mini bar set up for the previous Coffee package in the past? if you could get an equivalent value would you prefer OBC? $50 OBC pp for each mini bar set up seems more than fair. It does not seem totally fair to only offer the OBC for those the previously wanted to swap. Princess should offer the OBC as a standard swap option and allow those that have a package to also trade for OBC. I am not sure why Princess would want to focus on only those booking a standard fare. i agree that one should not have to complain. For us the internet change is a good one. I always want unlimited. The minute packages were a big pain for us.

I think you are correct. I also believe that in the past, Princess sold very few Coffee only “cards”. Most were given out in exchanges. And for years people gamed the system. Princess knows those exact numbers. I also cannot imagine that Princess will sell a lot of the non alcoholic packages that include the speciality coffees. i would like to see Princess eliminate the mini bar set up and replace it with an OBC of an equivalently value that can be used for speciality coffees or anything else. The minibar is of little value for those with one of the Packages.
