  1. Does the AA flight show up on My flights when you log into AA.com?
  2. What ship are you cruising? Jim was so helpful when I was on the Silhouette, when I was trying to get my fire stick to log into the internet. I just could not get the browser to engage. I was googling like crazy, but was not successful. I did not have a PC or a mini router. I only had my IPad and IPhone to work with. Good luck. You are certainly asking the right person. He is always successful and so generous with his knowledge and time.
  3. Perks! 1,2,3 and B,B,B we’re different names for the same bundle of perks. It was a lot more flexible than the current AI bundle. You could pick your choice of 1 perk only, 2 perks, or 3 perks (which included a fourth perk free). It was flexible, but it was harder to understand and people were often confused. Now, you choice below the Aqua Class category is no perks or AI (3 perks). With Aqua Class you have to take the AI. A little less confusing, but certainly less flexible.
  4. Thank you for mentioning that this WiFi hot spot feature may not actually work on all Android phones. I am seeking to increase my understanding, because during my recent cruise I was unable to connect my fire stick to the TV. I could not log in my fire stick to the internet. It looked like it was being blocked and I could not get into a browser to enter the log in password. I tried several things that were suggested to me. Including a hidden feature on the firestick, but I was not successful. I am increasing my “bag of tricks”. I am getting a mini travel router. I was thinking about purchasing a used Android phone as well. (Just for this feature). You comment about this feature perhaps not being on all Android phones, might eliminate that trick for me. Thanks, again.
  5. It was Celebrity’s first bundling program. Drink package, gratuities, and internet. (Or OBC instead of the drink package) They would allow you to pick, 1, 2, or 3 of the perks. It was replaced by the B,B,B program (just a different name). and was replaced by the AI. It has been around for many years.
  6. If there were no free drinks between 5-7 on any day, then it will change your numbers. Here is my understanding of “why”, since I have been cruising with Celebrity before they even had a free Captain’s Club. Initially the Elite cocktail party was held in a single location. (Michael’s Club) with a small number of Elite level passengers. It was hosted and if I recall correctly includes some food. It was a nice relaxing small gathering. The hosting staff are always particularly busy on the first day, so it was not held on that night or the night of the CC party. It was free drinks from a special menu on all, but two nights of any cruise. What a great addition to the benefits and everyone was thrilled and pleased. I have always suspected that the first night of a cruise is the most lucrative night for drink profits, so there was a profit angle. But we did not care because it was an exciting excellent new benefit. In order to get Royal Caribbean passengers to try Celebrity, Celebrity started to allow Diamond members to automatically become Elite. (Same in reverse, but I personally think it was to get people to try Celebrity, the newer member of the family). In the meantime it was relatively easy to earn Elite status on Celebrity. The number of Elite passengers grew rapidly. If Celebrity had not introduced the drink packages and the 123 programs it would have been a major problem. Celebrity has made some very significant improvements to this benefit over the years. No good reason that they need to change the program to offer free drinks from 5-7 PM on the first night. Going to make more people cruise in Celebrity? (Not likely). Why would Celebrity want to do anything that might encourage passengers to book a Cruise Only rate? (Probably just the opposite). Celebrity should probably do everything possible to get customers to book with the AI rate. (Perhaps even eliminating free drinks on most nights). Perhaps replacing the free drink benefit with something that benefits those booked with an AI rate instead? For most of us, this is not an issue since we have some kind of bundle with a Drink Package.
  7. It depends on your cell phone. You cannot use an IPhone personal hotspot with WiFi. Cellular data only.
  8. Obviously not if you have one of the packages. (Reduction of the crew appreciation fee) I will still purchase the Plus at the new price. Choices have consequences and inflation is very active. I see it in most things that I purchase. Actually I would be more surprised if cruising was not getting more expensive.
  9. What are the details of your flight? Operated by AA? Is your FF number on your reservation when reviewing the flight in AA.com?
  10. That would be great if you could try it as a second confirmation. Thanks for the explanation. Do you actually have to have a carrier and cell service to tether WiFi on an Android phone?
  11. As you may know one cannot use an IPhone as a hotspot with Wifi. It has to be Cellular Data as mentioned in an earlier post. You are the second person who has mentioned that an Android type phone works with WiFi. I might just buy used Android phone and use it for that type of function. Thanks.
  12. Are you saying you were having trouble changing a reservation for LePetit Chef? On a recent 10 day Silhouette cruise they had three different versions.
  13. I have always been able to book my AA seats with an AA booking as long as it was an AA operated flight.
  14. I suspect you could upgrade at the prevailing rate. As you probably know AI is not a separate charge, but is built into the rate. Downgrading might be more of a challenge, since you are in the penalty phase.
  15. The Craft Social was busy every night. I am not sure that they served any food during our November B2B. A very smart change IMO.
  16. Why? Streaming is allowed and advertised.
  17. Changing the TV’s input is not the only challenge with getting the Fire Stick to work. I could not get it to work on my recent Silhouette cruise. I have a mini travel router on my Christmas list.
  18. I believe the shoreside concierge is already intended for upper level suites only. The fact that they contact other suite levels sometime should not be considered a negative IMO. Now ,it appears that some people believe it is suppose to be a benefit for all suites, when it is not. The selection of the alcohol and mini bar contents and advanced no charge Speciality Restaurants are two of the most significant requirements and they only apply to upper level suites. My comment reference the Shoreside concierge contacting those with this include benefits not the process where you can call in if you are staying in the Retreat.
  19. I was initially just answering the OP’s question. I will not be in Honolulu, but great information for those that will be.
  20. I did not realize that Palace was only a 15 minute walk. It is certainly nice and worth a walk.
  21. How to you know if you do not visit. Princess does provide a list on the special item featured each day, but there are other items. We find the desirability of the appetizers vary.
  22. You can certainly walk to shopping and walk around the port area. Not wanting to ride a bus does limit you.
