  1. I do not think Princess will sell you a flight that does not allow you enough time. What makes you think that this is true. Do a dummy booking see what flights are listed. Good luck,
  2. Turning around before reaching the “Pacific locks” is technically correctly. The turn around (based on my one partial cruise) was not very far.
  3. Thanks. Do you recall the brand? so glad that you enjoyed your cruise.
  4. Do either of you recall if Celebrity installed new TV’s during the remodel? Are they still Samsung TVs? As I recall if I want to hook up my Fire stick, I will need to bring a Samsung remote to change the TV input. it worked different on the Apex last year. Thanks
  5. I would do it now. IMO it is not a good idea to depend on a winning bid to get a cabin you really want. You can keep checking for a Club mini.
  6. Aged Prime Rib of Beef is listed on Silhouette’s November 3 day one menu. Lobster is not listed for any night. Does anyone know which night of a 4 day cruise is Chic night? Thanks
  7. In the Celebrity process how they determine who “wins” the bid is not communicated. It is logical that the level of the vacated (and whether it has an outstanding bid) would be a factor. Although the Princess process does not have to be the same, you can never “decline” your winning bid in the Celebrity process. Personally I think Princess is trying to be customer friendly by allowing several different ways to make the payment. This may be causing confusion with some Princess staff and some customers. Customers have been able to change winning bid cabins within the same category only.
  8. Murano if only doing one. Always been a special evening for us.
  9. There used to be standard package below the Classic. It may have been related to charter cruises, but I am not sure. I saw it on the menu in the bar, but it has been a while.
  10. We have never waited for a table in CC. We have always had either one of two extra choices at dinner. The additional item (2) could be ordered as a small appetizer or as a regular dinner size. I can understand why some people would not want to spend the extra money, but I generally hate the MDR experience on Princess. (Too much of a Zoo at times). Personally I would most likely not cruise with Princess without the CC.
  11. You may be surprised to know that some (many?) many cruise lines eliminated bring the life jackets to the muster drills long ago. Supposedly too many accidents from people tripping on the cords?
  12. Thanks. I think it is important for people to understand the process. Some people are under the mistaken believe that it is optional to accept the winning bid. Princess had enhanced their process (compared to some of their competitors) to allow one to use FCC or some other forms of payment instead of the CC used. I believe people are assuming that this means they have a choice of accepting the bid after they win. When Princess states that you will cruise in your original cabin, it is in referencing if you do not win a bid. Otherwise it would a logistical nightmare. At least that it what Princess terms say. It will be interesting to see if anyone successfully cancels their winning bid by not paying. Enjoy your win.
  13. Did Princess immediately change you cabin to the new one or are they waiting for your payment.
  14. I believe you have misunderstood. Once you win a bid, you do not have an option to cancel the bid. Why would Princess do such a silly thing. If you do not win a bid, you stay in your cabin and do not pay any additional fee.
  15. Yes, you can. You will only be allowed to connect to one device at a time.
  16. I have only stayed in an Edge Villa once and I could not have been any closer to the Retreat Bar. I have never asked my Butler to deliver a drink, but I have not doubt that they would if I asked.
  17. Sorry, I was asking about your comment related to a CS booking. When I stay in a RS, I never make my own reservation in advance myself (because I do not want to be charged and then refunded). It is done by the shoreside concierge.
  18. Since you have to pay for your reservations and can do it on line, why would a shoreside concierge call to make reservations? Or are you talking about some other type of reservations?
  19. Did you receive a flight booking confirmation when you booked your flights?
  20. None? Just the opposite, but a different demographic. The long time popularity of the original “Love Boat” was not really focused on Princess, but in the characters. My wife and I dislike the Real Love Boat type of shows.
  21. I doubt it. IMO there is no way they would even considering removing the inclusive drinks in the retreat lounge. Most suite bookings in the 123/BBB days included the four perks.
  22. When I book CA on AA, I go into the reservation (can find with record locator provided) and enter my FF number into the reservation. Then it shows under My flight, which allows me to do whatever I wish.
  23. Were you trying to pay for a preferred seat on AA or were trying to use your status?
