  1. Thanks. I was just curious. I almost always book directly with my TA after I receive her quote. Occasionally I will put a cruise on hold or book on line and then transfer the booking. (for a sudden availability).
  2. Since you have a lot of knowledge in this area. If I book directly with Princess and then transfer my booking to a TA does the PVP still get their points? Thanks
  3. You could test the theory if you want. Celebrity allows you to have two bookings on the same cruise. is this a one way international flight?
  4. True, but is it a very small tip compared to the amount of a tip on a meal in a restaurant. This is true in the MDR or the Speciality restaurants. Historically I have always felt the Speciality dining charge was more like an additional tip.
  5. It is the Goodwill (bonus) FCCs that are the issue.
  6. Amazing. Celebrity gives people exactly what they have been requesting: An option to book without the normal Always Included rate. And then some people still complain. I would hope that this change will at least result is less complaining. I remain among those that appreciate the simplicity of the AI over the previous 123 and BBB that were very complex. Celebrity’s base rates reflect the Always Included Items. As I understand, Celebrity is now expanding the ability to have a special discount and remove the AI items. I suspect the reduction is not enough of a discount to make it a good deal for most people. But it will for some people and that is great. It is good for them to have an option. Good change IMO. Perhaps we can all stop complaining.
  7. From my experience you cannot book an EZ flight until the return flight is also available. Therefore in your example it would be 330 days from the end of the cruise. Also flights are not always available with EZ air on the same date that they are available directly with the airline. There may be a delay. Also all airlines are not always available. IMO you should book your flights (flexible option) as soon as they are available and then monitor the pricing, I posted at about the same time, sorry for the repeat info.
  8. When you win a bid, I believe the cost in pp for two people only. A third person (if already on the reservation) does not pay extra for the bid. Therefore I would not think you could add another person or two to your reservation after winning. It would be interesting to see how much they would charge if they allow it. Perhaps the current rate for a third person in the winning category? I have never tried it, so I have no experience. Let us know what you find out and good luck. P.S. I was curious, so I looked at the terms. Once a move up offer is accepted you cannot cancel or make a change to the reservation.
  9. You are inputting his AA record locator while on his AA account? I have never had a situation where I have had United flights show up on my AA account, which is why I ask. If you start a new reservation on AA.com is his original flight still available for booking? Just to make sure the flight has really been cancelled. You probably already know this, but this is an example of how to find a flight on AA.com with the record locator. (If not really cancelled)
  10. The short answer is your cabin steward gets the $1.75 for a total of $4.00 for you. Most likely, they do not get the gratuity based on hours worked but by person. They visit your cabin more than once a day. If they normally service 40 people in 20 cabins, but only have 20 people in 10 cabins, their share of the gratuities is likely much less. Perhaps Princess gives them some extra compensation in an attempt to help a little. The Steward also make a lot of money from the additional gratuities from passengers and they have less opportunities for the extra gratuities due to the lower passenger counts. This is why during these times, I have become an even more generous tipper. (Cruises and restaurants). I try to make up some of the difference as I appreciate the fact that they are providing a service to us during these very difficult times. I believe I clearly understand your question and I hope my answer is clear.
  11. What do you mean by got cancelled? You received a cancellation notice? Are you saying yours was not cancelled, buy his was cancelled? Did you try to “find” the reservation on AA.com by entering his record locator and information again? If you Find it, you should make sure his FF is reflected on his reservation. I have had this happen to me with AA codeshares.
  12. Yes, it is. Unless you spent some of the OBC pre cruise it should be the same as your invoice.
