  1. If they added one more voucher I'd probably accept them scrapping the whole thing 🙂 but I'm sure others will disagree.
  2. Thanks, I'll have to get in there at 4:55 and see what is on offer 🙂
  3. I've never been so I'm going to check it out this Dec. Is there stuff there you can't get at the windjammer or cafe promenade?
  4. No, I don’t think I’ve even been in the diamond lounge during HH. With vouchers who needs it. If we’re allowed during our time on Harmony maybe I’ll check it out but I usually have early dining so I’d only have a 1/2 hour anyways. I’ve only gone to the DL for cappuccinos before lunch. That being said I still don’t like any trend that would diminish benefits to diamond members. Oh, I’ll be diamond plus early 2025 but hate to see people lose any benefit.
  5. I don't know where you got your glasses but we are talking about fat free half and half.
  6. Or 4:55... I doubt anyone is going to be asked to leave.
  7. Yes she is on her way from Hawaii to Brisbane.
  8. I'd like to know what sailing this is for. Is there something special about this sailing that caused this or is truly an indication that this is the future.
  9. DW loves her FF HH. Has to have it. I was shocked to discover it has no cream but is whole milk with thickeners added to it.
  10. I went through this exact situation on Navigator in August. I took GK's and had a Ultimate spacious OV cabin. I asked the attendant about putting the bed in and out morning and evening and he said, no problem he'd take care of it. He didn't clean the room a second time but would come while we were at dinner and pull the bed out and put on the sheets. For full disclosure, I tend to tip the cabin steward on Day 1 when meeting him and letting him know what I want/need from him. Maybe that helped grease the wheels a little.
  11. So I made it a me day and went to Santa Monica. Spent the afternoon at the pier and now I’m wandering and shopping downtown just off Santa Monica Blvd on 3rd up and down the promenade. DW is with DD for a few days so I’ve been baching it. Gorgeous weather and a great day so far today. I’m waiting to take some sunset pics from the beach around 615 PDT. Then I’ll plan the evening. sliders and HH margaritas.
  12. The doctor wanted me on statins. That was a big part of my motivation to get serious about my weight loss. There are all kinds of other benefits along with my lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol.
  13. My weight loss has shown a significant improvement in my blood pressure. It’s not perfect, but it’s not terrible anymore. I’m at 139/75.
  14. I really don’t think the BMI is an accurate indicator of a healthy weight. According to every BMI, calculator that I have tried for myself, to get into the normal range, I need to weigh 194 pounds. I haven’t been 194 pounds since 1989. I was addicted to crack and living in my car.
  15. Deals are out there still. Back in May after pricing was well and truly going crazy I managed to score a deal Harmony to turn my 1 week into a B2B. My TA still had group space available and I got a CP balcony cabin, with taxes and fees for two people, for ~$1400. I think there was $50 OBC on top of that. I think it was @GetToLivin that said it earlier, flexibility is key. If you aren't locked into a specific week or specific ship or port there still seem to be decent prices. The acceleration of pricing also seems to have topped out and has crept back a little. I've got 8 cruises on the books and track pricing on all 8 of them. Of course with pricing the way it is there isn't any possibility I'll see a price drop but I track just the same. And pricing has definitely come down some
  16. My best friend growing up had an older brother like that. He was a stats geek! He'd quote all kinds weird and esoteric stats. He would talk about teams from years ago... their records or particular greats on the team's records. It was always so bizarre to me. I see the passion and appreciate that part of it. In spite of that and my efforts to like it it just never gabbed me.
  17. Years ago (back in the 80's), when Vancouver had a AAA baseball team. For a couple years we used to go to home games Friday night after work. But that was just an excuse to drink, eat peanuts and be loud and obnoxious. Kind of pre party get ready for the rest of the night before doing something else. We didn't care who won or lost. Back when Toronto was won the two World Series in 92 and 93 I tried again to get into it and watch and follow the games but I just couldn't do it. I'd fall asleep before the 7th inning.
