  1. It must be before final payment. If you've paid in full and are still before final payment I believe it shows up as OBC. If after final payment you are out of luck.
  2. I think I'm going to tip the guys I see painting railings on deck 5... They're probably not in the tip pool and they keep the ship looking white. 🙂.
  3. No I just listed the pre gratuity price... Thanks for clarifying that.
  4. If you aren't a big drinker then I'd not worry about about the drink package it won't pay. You need about 5 alcoholic drinks plus a few bottles of water each day to make pay. If you like lattes or fresh squeezed OJ or soda that changes the math a little. Typically $70-75 dollars a day is common when it is on sale. I got it for $67 pppd on Harmony coming up in Dec and it was $65 on Adventure this coming Feb. However, I'd plan for over $70. The shorter cruises tend to be a little higher.
  5. My 7 night cruise just went up $28 dollars. I typically tip extra at the end of the cruise. Tips go to waiter, A. waiter and cabin steward. I see each one of these getting $10 less than usual.
  6. Grats, drinks and specialty dining are not included on any Royal cruise.
  7. It's not really even the money... II consider myself a decent tipper. I'm just really irritated that on the heals of the previous increase they decreased to level of service they now throw another increase at us.
  8. I’m fairly confident that this will affect my extra gratuity that I have traditionally given to staff on the last night. I’ll likely keep the auto grats on but should I run into even the slightest service failure I’m much more likely to respond and not just roll with punches.
  9. Don't muddy the waters... Just change once you are onboard.
  10. I love how Denver played TS' "Shake it off" song at the end of the game! That is some second level trolling. 🙂
  11. But not really helpful to the OP since they are looking for a Canada New England sailing in late August / early Sept. in a Grand suite. Your cabin is more comparable to a Jr suite. You can't just pick random sailing, in a random cabin at a random time and call that a fair comparison.
  12. Yes you will be able to board early so a 12:00 appointment will be fine and yes it is a much better way to start the cruise than the chaos of the Windjammer on embarkation day. There are only two of us usually but this is what we do on embarkation day.
  13. Better everything is subjective but far from cheaper...
  14. We appreciate so very much his sacrifice for the cause. Greg is a noble man.
  15. Any wine is included... Anything over $14 is charged the difference.
  16. I think I've seen it as early as Monday on the week of Thanksgiving... I'm not sure if that will be in time for you.
  17. I was thinking about doing a "live". We're B2B but on the first one we'll have DD and her family along. I'm thinking I'll go live for week two when I don't have GK's taking up my time. Maybe a live with a look back on the preceding week each day corresponding to the current day. We'll see...
  18. I'm hoping for Evian... It has a higher PH content than typical bottled water. That means more hydration per oz drank.
  19. I loved your review @Sea Dog, It helped me survive another week of waiting for my next cruise. I've only got 43 days left to get through till the next one. Looking forward to your wrap up and last videos... You do such a great job with them.
  20. My next two Cococay trips are in Nov and Dec 2024. Beach club is $285 and $305 each... No a snowballs chance in he🏒🏒
  21. I hang my towels from the hook on the bathroom door... that helps a little.
  22. I purchased it with the expectation that I will receive 12 1L bottle of Evian. If I see 12 bottles of 500ml off brand water in the cabin I'll be off to GS for a refund. That isn't what I ordered or what they marketed. There is no fine print that indicates they can substitute a lesser quantity which the typical off brand bottles would be.
