  1. Is that in the app? I can't find it anywhere in my cruise planner.
  2. Oh brother... you convinced me... 🙂 I just booked it.
  3. Maybe I'll try the same thing. Buy now and wait for reviews. I've got one late next year that I have nothing planned for and the price was 33.99. at that price it might be worth at least waiting on reviews.
  4. I am like you were. I'm not interested in a non-stop party atmosphere. I haven't seen any indication there is less emphasis on the party atmosphere. This is how it is described in my cruise planner... You’ve landed on our private island and found the ultimate beachfront party in paradise just for adults — Hideaway Beach. Swim right up to the popping Hideaway Bar, fueled by non-stop, DJ-spun beats. Or soak up the rhythm at four more watering holes serving expertly crafted libations. Keep the energy fed with tasty pizzas from Slice of Paradise and flavorful all-American faves from Snack Shack
  5. If they did I don't remember reading that hopefully a TA will chime in.
  6. A little off topic but... How does the Black Jack tournament work. What is the buy in. What kind of prizes are there for winners?
  7. When you say $100 a day do you mean for you as a single or do you mean for a typical cruiser who is booking double occupancy.
  8. I was really tempted to book another one oat of Galveston for my winter 2025 but settled on Oasis on for the Southern Caribbean route out of FLL. I'm waiting and hoping Ovation comes to LA. If so that'll be my Fall 2025 booking. Failing that I'll relook at a suite on Harmony out of Galveston. We loved our CLS on Oasis this last March.
  9. Back in the day the sticker price for a brand new Ford Mustang Convertible was $2553.00
  10. I have been reliably informed that Giovanni's and Jamie's both have a Gluten free Pasta. I believe they are Hearts of Palm.
  11. No group space four weeks from embarkation.
  12. When booking this last minute I'm shocked you are shocked that prices are high.
  13. Coffee and continental breakfast is free...
  14. I have cruised our out of Galveston a few times and have my first B2B coming up in less than 3 weeks on Harmony out of Galveston. The transportation to and from Houston is the biggest obstacle but it's not that big of a deal. Both Uber and Lyft work fine for transport into Galveston and are the most affordable but there are private shuttles available as well. Ken mentioned Royal has a shuttle too. In the past we have stayed overnight in Texas City. This way we get most of the way there but avoid the high prices of Galveston hotels. This time we're actually staying in Galveston the night before the cruise. I managed to score a Hilton property for $125 a night on Galveston Island. Typically I have been able to find hotels in and around Texas City just over $100 and the Uber the following morning was just around 25 minutes. I just checked the Home2 suites in Texas city and the price for an overnight on the Saturday the 23rd of Dec is $123. Even at this late date you still can get a decent price. The difference in experience between Harmony and Rhapsody for kids would be astronomical. I understand the price concerns. However, if it was at all possible I'd chose Harmony.
  15. I've skied there a few times over the years but It's been about a decade and a half since I've been to Silver Star. When in the Okanagon, my preferred ski location just to the south of there at a resort called Big White. Just a little ways to the east ( 2 1/2 hours ) of there is a great ski hill called Red Mountain. It's in a little town called Rossland just outside of Trail BC. Silver Star was Ok but I always preferred the others. However, I have heard that they have done a fair bit of expansion in the last few years so my recommendations might be out of date.
  16. I've never had trouble getting the times I want with the UDP. I always board early and make it my first stop once onboard. Sometimes, I have to be flexible about exact times but I've never not gotten what I wanted.
  17. I like the cap but can't get one myself. I need the access to the 5th wheel hitch and don't want to have to be taking to cap on and off. Years ago I got an 2003 F350 in burnt orange. I had the body shop paint the mirrors to match the truck and have always like that look. You had me outside looking at my truck today thinking about getting it done. 🙂 It wouldn't be a big change for most people since the truck is already charcoal grey but I still think it'll look cooler.
  18. For fourteen I think you will have trouble booking that many all at once. It's likely you will have to break up the group into 6 and 8.
  19. It seems to vary from week to week. I have a sailing on December 10 and December 17 and the shows are all on different nights from week to week for those particular two ceilings.
