  1. We looked up at the site and blew it a kiss from below. 🥰
  2. In August we used Chauffeur It. Found them through www.londontoolkit.com Very nice people. Lots of good info on this site.
  3. The beauty of stockholder benefit is, it’s the gift that just keeps on giving. I bought it at its low point, and have thus far used it on six cruises, so I’ve already recouped a great deal of my expenditure, and I still have the original investment plus a few bucks. So, in its own way,it is the proverbial goose that laid the golden egg.
  4. Your best band for the buck is cabin upgrade, one level upgrade (inside to OV, or OV to balcony) is 30,000 points, a “double meta” (2 category upgrade is 60,000. Obviously, on most cruises an inside to balcony will cost you more than $600 (points are worth a penny a piece). On cash, OBC or gift cards there is no difference in points required, it is a 1% cost. if upgrades don’t interest you, then your best use is to go for statement credit. Charge your onboard expenses with your card and you will receive 3 points per dollar spent, then once home you can use statement to pay your credit card bill.
  5. I think yu will enjoy the loungers. The spa doesn’t open until 8, I think, so if you are a planning to watch the sunrise from your lounger you may be disappointed 🤭 I wake up the rooster most days so I’m always eagerly awaiting the spa’s opening. So nice to warm my joints early in the day. And the thalassotherapy is heavenly after you’ve been on your feet all day. enjoy!
  6. I like to make a salad and stop in the Cantina and get some grilled shrimp on mine. They don’t have shrimp every day, but when they do I’m there!
  7. His cap has indeed worked - and frankly, I don’t think either of us expected it to work as well as it has. But since it is physician recommendation and has. Full money back guarantee, what was there to lose? Well, more hair probably. Here is a link that our dermatologist explained why she uses the red light rather than laser product. https://help.revian.com/portal/en/kb/general-information-technical-and-product-support
  8. The good news is,bat least on our sailing we were off the ship reallly early. Seems like it was before 6:30. That may be that most of the outbound flights from Reykjavik are 10-11 am and they want to get people to the airport. Good luck and enjoy Iceland, it is indeed a mystical place.
  9. They list priority disembarkation, but it doesn’t actually occur. I’ve had 34 NCL cruises and we always do self assist walk off because there is no real priority disembarking unless you are Haven. other lines have a meeting area for certain levels and they are off first. That is what I’d like to see NCL do.
  10. I agree with DEL, when we have used the cruise ship transfers you can sit for a long time before departing. The drive is about 45 minutes, I think, and the check in at the airport was very slow. Seems we had to go through two security checkpoints and it moved slowly.
  11. If I recall, the ship had shuttles to the airport, as they do in most places. I’m guessing they are more expensive than doing it yourself, but check with NCL and see.
  12. One of the beauties of the spa access is using the showers. They are larger than most cabin showers, especially if a handicapped shower is helpful for you. You don’t steam up your room, use up all your towels, get in each there’s way as you prepare for the evening, and it’s just plain nice! I love to shower and then sit in the sauna to let my hair dry and my skin get all warm and soft. In my experience, there are not usually many women I. The sauna so it’s nice to stretch out and relax. the heated loungers are heaven if you have some achey breaky parts and especially on a cold weather cruise. Dang! Now that’s all I’m going to think about this evening! 🤭 And whenever people misbehave or disregard spa etiquette, I am not shy about nicely reporting it to the spa, preferably a manager if one is on duty. Sometimes they roll their eyes and do nothing. That’s when I remind them that I’m Diamond and ask for a pen so I can write down her name. Yeh, I’m a witch at times, but this isn’t supposed to be a drunken gab fest or frat party in the spa.
  13. I have one of those $500/250 for sale to but on that other site. I have cancelled a reservation that was secured by a CF certificate and rebooked it for a different date and there was no problem..
  14. Since NCL is new to Galveston, actually not there yet til fall, it’s probably not available, but I’d use the local providers. If you scroll down to the list of providers you can click on the link to their websites and see their schedules and particulars.
  15. We received a free cruise coupon from WinStar casino and booked an 8 day, Bahamas onthe Dream out of Galveston. We did that cruise last month and look forward to doing it again. I think port, etc came to about $420 but out shareholder will give us $100 in OBC so, life is good.
  16. Here ya’ go. https://www.cruzely.com/how-to-get-from-the-houston-airport-to-the-galveston-cruise-port/
  17. You do not need to make dining room reservations for the dining room. The two dining rooms have the same menu, one is smaller, the other a bit more grand. The smaller one, iMHO is quieter, the larger one has more window seating and natural light. I do not recall there being any difference in dress code. you should make reservations for specialty dining. You can do that online 120 days out or wait til you are onboard. If it’s not available online, fear not, they only release 25-30% of reservations online. But do go straight to the reservation area (it varies by ship) as soon as you board. the Spinnaker Loungeis on the upper forward de k and is a great place to view the glaciers and chill during the day.
  18. We were on the Star and were to overnight in Reyjakvik but then the Prima decided to do their big launch there and they shortened our cruise by a day 🤯. So we disembarked the morning of arrival and had to pay for an additional hotel night. Thanks, NCL for adding $275 + to out post cruise trip. we had booked three days of tours with Nice Travels (great people, wonderful drivers and guides). KNOW THIS, whatever your plans are - cabs are few and far between, in part because iceland is very conscious of energy expenditure and utilize public transport of different varieties to the fullest extent possible. While we were waiting for the tour bus to pick us up we watched the folks who had not prebooked transportation to the airport with astonishment. The cab line at one point had about 150 people in it and it moved at a snails pace. The ship repeatedly told people to book an airport shuttle but we know how well people listen,so there were a bunch of gobsmacked people with flights who were most distressed. if you are going to the airport, which is about 45 minutes from the pier (if I remember correctly) make arrangements before you get off the ship! there is only one cruise terminal so I do not remember the name. It is a beautiful place. We are returning in ‘25 to finish up a few places we missed on this trip. Enjoy!
  19. I thought your European offer disappeared. Did it reappear? Glad you got a good deal.
  20. I always thought that kit was just called tequila. 😵‍💫
  21. Wait- did you say Carnival was enforcing a rule?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  22. This is always an exercise in insanity 🤪
