Canceling reservation/switching sailings
Sunshine3601 replied to Mimiunb's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I believe the new rule, or same rule that existed prior to covid, is a $100 penalty pp to switch your sailing if you booked a non refundable deposit. -
Number of people at at table?
Sunshine3601 replied to Woody14's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If you want a 2 top table you can call royal and let them know your preference. You can also email them at rcldining@rccl.com 2 to 3 weeks before your sailing and place your request. Are you set for traditional or my time dining? -
Baltimore is nice with only $15/day parking (unless it went up this year). They are very easy in and out. All of our sailings this year have been out of Cape Liberty as we didn't want to deal with flights this year. I agree the downside of Cape Liberty is that long line of cars to drop off luggage. It is usually best to get there first thing in the morning or wait until early afternoon when there is no line and you can walk right onto the ship and go straight to your cabin. Sailing out of Bermuda used to be very easy too

Hi Deb, I would definitely give a call back and pretend it is your first call into them about purchasing the DBP and refreshment pkg. You are able to add/cancel things on your cruise planner up to 2 or 3 days before sailing so you have plenty of time. Sounds like you got one of those CSR's that really doesn't know and just makes up their answer as they go. Good luck!

Please do yourself a favor and either put the drugs on bedside table into a drawer or maybe one of those plastic shoebox tubs with lid they sell at dollar stores. The last thing you want is Olliver knocking over meds or finding something on the floor that he accidently injests. This was recommended by a Hospice nurse when we did at home hospice for my Dad since their cat spent all day in bed with him.

We ask for table for 2 when we book by phone then I follow up with an email 2 or 3 weeks before cruise with any special requests for location, window, etc. Has worked well for us.

When I was there on Anthem with Independence last Spring, there was plenty of space everywhere, but ships were not full capacity. When I was there on Oasis with 6500 passengers and i think it was Harmony with something like 4000 or 4500 passengers, it was Very crowded everywhere. Long lines for food, drink, bathrooms, etc.

Jolly Pirates Snorkel Cruise
Sunshine3601 replied to Connie8's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have done the pirate ship excursions in Barbados and St Lucia. The one in Barbados was awesome. We had a really fun day with lots of good snorkeling, swam with sea turtles too. The rope swing on the boat is fun too! We even had a couple renew their wedding vows onboard. Aruba is not known for great snorkeling but it should be a fun day. If this is not a royal excursion, ask the vendor how you get to them from the cruise ship. Remember docking at 8 am usually means first off ship would probably be 830 am
