Thank you Maryann. I have been trying to get to bed early this week so I can get up at 6:00 am to be at the new job by 8 am. Working from home most days these last couple of years has really spoiled me. I plan on heading to Macy's this weekend😀

Our last sailing on Serenade for almost a month of b2b's in one of these cabins we hardly saw anyone other than sail away from ports. I recall one of the weeks we had some very nice neighbors and hung out and enjoyed a bottle or two of wine in the evening with them. It was quite fun.

Schools in my area (southeastern PA) start after Labor Day. We are on a 8.28 sailing and looks like we will have a very full ship.

I have been really busy at work clearing up everything. Tomorrow is my last day there after 20+ years. Sad but happy at the same time. I heard through the grapevine (it's suppose to be a surprise) they are planning on taking me out for dinner and drinks tomorrow night. Since Eric will still work there I know I will keep in touch with just about everyone.

Quite honestly, we love these cabins and balconies. You still have privacy with the "original" part of the balcony. You have to try one😃

Yes, I absolutely love Jewel and her Sister Serenade. Our favorites. Love this size, all the windows and the fact that chops and giovannis actually have large oceanview windows. Schnooners too! I personally would pick this sailing with the ABC islands over Harmony with the ac islands. We like the extended balconies on deck 7 located aft or forward. Here are photos I think from cabin 7058. You get regular size balcony with privacy dividers then get extended 3 or 4 feet.

Sorry for your first cruise it wasn't everything you had hoped. It wouldn't stop me from cruising. Sure we have had itinerary changes for different reasons. Just like anything in life you need to be flexible and realize it is not in your control and the cruise lines have to change course for medical emergencies and weather. Maybe Book a nice tropical cruise (not in hurricane season 😁) and see what you think after visiting some islands. Also, you mention you had some crappy weather that could very well be the reason the coast guard did not fly a chopper to pick up the injured person. I have only seen 2 helicopter evacuations in my years of cruising and is not an easy task to perform on a crystal clear day.

Yes bacon is cooked and I crumble it with the blue cheese to stuff in the burgers. The easiest way to stuff the burger is make 1 thin patty place the blue cheese and crumbled bacon in the center of the patty then place 2nd patty on top then pinch around the ends. If too puffy you can kinda flatten with your hands but not too much as you don't want the "stuffing" to ooze out of the burger while grilling Enjoy😃
