As you all know yesterday was my last day as a mortgage underwriter for the company I have worked for nearly 20 years. Some of us have worked together for almost 30-yrs. Eric will still there so I will see be in touch with most. It was sad day with lots of tears but also lots of laughs. They tried to book a private room at Lambertville Inn (one of my favs) for my going away party but they were booked so they booked Pineville Tavern http://www.pinevilletavern.com/ We were in the room upstairs and boy did they order tons of food. We had everything from shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, different versions of mini tacos, prime rib sliced to order, ribs, mini burgers, etc. etc. etc. Everything was delicious and they told the bartender to keep my mojitos coming all night (which they did!) We arrived at 6 pm and were there until 9 pm. Eric took lots of pictures which I will have him send to me so I can upload some here. I have been blessed to work with such a wonderful group of people and will dearly miss them. I was given a couple fun gifts too! One girl gave me a package with a dozen cruise ducks!! @DaniDanielleMarietta, I will being hiding them on our Oasis sailing - hopefully you will find one😁

I believe you are right about this as we received our edocs for our 8.28 Oasis cruise and it still shows the old gratuity rate since we booked prior to 7.15 But with the wording on one of the other threads on cc i wonder if I have to pre-pay them to get the old rate. I used to always pre-pay them but then decided a couple years ago to let my money make me money instead of someone else. I guess I will give a call to pre-pay them the week before our cruise and see what happens. If not, no biggy - it is what it is😁

Bermuda is one of our favorites! We have been there many times for cruises and family land vacations! Yes, I agree their $40 TA is not something I am fan of, possibly the reason could be, if Royal drops them they may lose their spot to dock for future sailings.

Remember on social media most stories you hear are the ones with problems. There are thousands of people each week using the online proctored kits from home with no issues. Rapidtestandtrace.com with the free government test kits works great as do the kits from emed or optum. Much cheaper too!

Yes, most likely noone in the household would be able to cruise. You are required to answer health questionnaire day before your cruise. Close contact within 10 days would make you ineligible especially since you all live in same household. But you never know until it happens.

I recently had an offer for free interior on Anthem for December and called to book. After she applied my balcony discount for Diamond I ended up getting a free upgrade from an int to OVB and just had to pay taxes/port fees.

Thank you Maryann. I have been trying to get to bed early this week so I can get up at 6:00 am to be at the new job by 8 am. Working from home most days these last couple of years has really spoiled me. I plan on heading to Macy's this weekend😀

Our last sailing on Serenade for almost a month of b2b's in one of these cabins we hardly saw anyone other than sail away from ports. I recall one of the weeks we had some very nice neighbors and hung out and enjoyed a bottle or two of wine in the evening with them. It was quite fun.

Schools in my area (southeastern PA) start after Labor Day. We are on a 8.28 sailing and looks like we will have a very full ship.

may not actually be cancelled, could be Royal's wonderful IT dept. having issues. Are wanting to apply a FCC to get a refund to your credit card for the difference? I don't think that can be done but @Ourusualbeachwill probably know the answer.

I have been really busy at work clearing up everything. Tomorrow is my last day there after 20+ years. Sad but happy at the same time. I heard through the grapevine (it's suppose to be a surprise) they are planning on taking me out for dinner and drinks tomorrow night. Since Eric will still work there I know I will keep in touch with just about everyone.

Quite honestly, we love these cabins and balconies. You still have privacy with the "original" part of the balcony. You have to try one😃
