  1. January 2022 on the Bliss, no smoking at all in casino areas, have no idea if this has changed. At time it was due to Covid, that is what was posted
  2. Taxi from Ship (Bliss) to LAX January 2022 was $60.00, set rate, taxi stand after you you are on the street from leaving the terminal, to the right, I think, a little stroll
  3. thanks for heads up about Mandatory Boosters, had no idea, will go online to NCL to see the change
  4. two perons in king bed, one person in sofa pull out, in your case, I would guess you will sleep in the pull out and the boys in the King bed.
  5. cecil89- we were on the Bliss, January 2022, smoking still allowed on the Haven Sundeck Forward
  6. There use to be (2019) the sundeck forward, lmited area for smoking. hmm, guess it is gone. would check NCL website, under ships for where smoking is allowed.
  7. If you stay in the actual Haven area, there is an elevator to the Sundeck. Could book a room within steps to it. If not in "Haven Proper" it would be a walk to get there, but would have access to elevator once there.
  8. I have looked, asked online chat, but know it is my bad, but cannot bring up the current policy if you test 48 hours before cruise positive, what is the cancel policy? I have been directed to where to click on "policy" NCL online, i dont' get anywhere. HELP out to all those you experts, thanks
  9. For anyone that actually arrived at any US port without a negative test, did NCL provide testing at the Pier, obviously for a price?? Chatline and our assigned personal cruise consultant says yes they do. I know all about the proctored test online, but just asking if in fact anyone got their test done prior to boarding from their embarkation Port.
  10. In my many experiences , whatever plan, you will be stuffed when you leave from any of the Specialties. The sides are filling, but must agree, Cagney's are pretty tasteless, go with salads.
  11. think they are somewhat similar, have been on the Joy , would suggest getting a cabin on the deck the observation lounge is located, 15 I think?? Also have been on the Bliss, fortunate to be in the Haven. not sure which entertainment is available on the two Sister Ships lately, but that may be a factor for you. Sure you will enjoy either!!!
  12. Several years ago, did New year's Cruise from New Orleans with 2 other couples, GREAT, partying on pool deck at midnight, great memories!!! Breakaway Ship
  13. Does NCL have computer terminals to use (at the pier) if you do not arrive with ArriveCan completion?
  14. I certainly understand the OP, we have been very loyal cruisers the last 20 years. We somehow managed to get on a cruise in January, it was so stressful, getting the online check in done. But were fortunate at that time there was still Covid testing done at the Pier (San Pedro). very easy. Have the bucks to sail again, but won't deal with all the proctored at home Covid testing, just too much. NCL listen UP, retired people have the time to cruise, make it easier. and I realize most retirees have no problem with uploading, downloading, but just stressful for us
  15. In our many experiences if your luggage goes through the airport it will go through at NCL. I will go through the extra "hassle" of carrying luggage onboard rather than not have it delivered to the cabin. I know most get there, but believe me when it doesnt, it is not fun
  16. Good Luck, hope you enjoy Astoria tomorrow, we live there, sorry but it will probably be raining, all this online sign up for anything and everything keeps us for cruising again, darn it! But you will still enjoy !!!
