  1. Captain Cook Cruises are an option, however if you have the time Possum52's notions are the best way to enjoy the harbour. Grab an Opal Card and use the ferries like a hop on hop off bus.
  2. Another article with useless info, perhaps the author couldn't find London or Paris.🙃
  3. Pass at a grand a night i can get a suite at Hayman Island. 🤣
  4. You are cruising from Melbourne, it's a no brainer a direct flight to Melbourne by Qantas, Lufthansa or United to name a few;problem solved. You have East to West USA to start your trip don't add any problems to what is a long flight.
  5. Fully agree great products at Ricks ,Cooroy and Yandina also have super Pie Shops
  6. Anything at any Bar to the value of $15US, new system works well with Bar Staff informing you when your out of ammo😭
  7. Darwin has a very good HopOn HopOff Bus service that picks up outside the cruise terminal, about $47AUD good value with the drivers commentary.
  8. They are also stocking Tassie National Pies 2 pack $7/50; unfrozen quite a nice range and taste nice too. Tassie pies are normally 80% roadkill 20% pastry lovely lol 🤣
  9. Hope Royal takes notice and follows suit, I hate having to carry a phone everywhere on board.🙃
  10. Looking forward to having a Scallop Pie in Hobart in a fortnights time. This thread needs some new recipes and pie shops ifs been dormant since Christmas😭😁
  11. Will say hello next Friday around 12 noon Graham,no need of a red carpet
  12. Staying at the same place early March, will take the train from airport to Central then L1 Light Rail to Paddys Market (2 stops ). Easy Peasy as Uncle Les would say.
  13. You could have had a RAT test in Australia before you embarked.
  14. The 3 Airlines that fly the domestic route are Virgin, Qantas (domestic) and Jetstar .The most common luggage allowance is 23kg Checked 7kg hand luggage, any extras you have to buy.
  15. So do the majority of Aussies, our workforce are well paid and do not require tips.
  16. jajsmom is not docking at the Cruise terminal, Yorkeys Knob is 20 to 30 minutes from Cairns CBD.
  17. All the Ports are Tender ports so time at the stops is vital in your plans. Most boats leave the 3 above mentioned ports at 8am to 9am returning around 4pm so private excursions are a problem if your time is tight. The trip to the GBR takes about 70 to 90 minutes. The Cruiseline booking has the advantage of a pickup and return to the ship and takes the stress out of it. Port Douglas or Airlie are my picks to leave from, which leaves Cairns for a trip to Kuranda rain forest.Hope this helps.
  18. Which airline are you flying with, they all have different allowances ?
  19. My Planner says 40 days to gbenjo, hoping the Ovation is in better shape than the last time. Chilli in between fending off those felines you attract could you find out when the new Menu will commence. See you in 40 days at 12 noon Graham, no need for the red carpet.🤣
  20. Sorry didn't realize that the new terminal at Shute was being used by RCL and Celebrity. Hope they supply some transport to Airlie.
  21. Chilly, Mrs Beat has requested the name of the Cruise Director on board at present, she is hoping it's Joff Eaton Thanks
  22. There is a levy or toll if they use the Cross City Tunnel, not sure how much, but this may explain extras.
  23. Best way is a short walk to Circular Quay Train Station, ask staff which platform for Airport you will be there in 20 minutes, cost about $19aud per person. You do not have to transfer at Central. Easy and direct and out of the OPT speedily.
