I don't understand how that is a good price. Parking 4 Cruises would be about £120 plus a night in a hotel at say, £150, would still be no where near £340.
Parking4 cruises is still pretty good. It's £143 for 19 nights. We only had £120 OBC per cabin, so still better to swap, but I will use P4C next time when we go on Fred.
Blinkin' eck. Just did a quote with CPS for the same cruise. £287!!! Double Parking 4 Cruises.
Totally agree. If you have a cold/cough that is not Covid, would you not go to work? In all my years of cruising, the first day aboard you can hear people coughing and sneezing. Just because they cough, doesn't mean they have Covid.
We are Caribbean, but have always had a late-ish time for boarding, 2pm or even 3pm. We have oftrn arrived at 1pm, as normally drive on the day and don't want to be late. Never had a problem checking in on arrival.
I'm sorry you got Covid, but I caught a virus about 4 weeks ago and I'm still coughing a little. Not Covid, but sneezing and a cough. Everybody I know has had it, so the guy on the ship could have had that and not Covid.
We don't have the coach option from anywhere near us. It's either OBC or car parking. On my upcoming cruise, I swapped our £120 per cabin OBC and took the parking, especially as it's a 19 night cruise.
The only paid for restaurant I used to enjoy was Sorrento. Lovely Italian food. I wouldn't pay £30 pp for a meal on board. I usually only have one course.
Well of course, but my point was too many ships. I have been there on quite a few cruises before this occasion and it was fine. A couple of ships in was no problem, but now the mega ones are here and there were 5 ships in port including us on Aurora. So it's a tiny town and it can't handle it.
Have to say, if I had afternoon tea, I wouldn't be having dinner. Just don't need all this food. We;ve also given up on the Captain's cocktail parties. Would rather be in the Crows Nest.
Last time I was in Dubrovnik, we had a full day and evening. We went over and it was so crowded with 5 ships in, we gave up and went back to the ship. We then went ashore again at 6 and sat in the square having a glass of wine. Nobody around and a guy came down and played the piano. It was just lovely. Such a shame everywhere is being ruined, but that's life.
Well I see it's not necessary on Aurora. Haven't cruises since Covid started, as ours kept getting moved. We are on Club Dining, so no need for the app and we shall simply go to the theatre. If we can't get in, won't matter. I don't have a problem with technology, but if I don't have to use it I won't.
