Agree. Having been aircrew for 16 years, I no longer fly and the first sea days are fine for me. The only time I found them tedious was in bad weather on the way back.
I have to say I haven't used cash anywhere in ages. And as I said, my office doesn't accept it and neither do a lot of the other businesses. Main problem is there are no banks around to pay in cah.
most using large amounts of cash are using cash earned by avoiding VAt and doing jobs for cash. At my office, we no longer accept cash at all. If the money is legit, why wouldn't you pay it into your bank and then use a debit or credit card.
Haven't sailed with Fred for a long time, but I am still Silver and found this mention on their website that I don't understand. What does Lead time to Qualify mean?
Just found out what it means. Have to book 9 months in advance.
Andrew, having sailed with Shirley for 10 years, it's going to be very odd without her. Went to the funeral last week and it ended with them playing one of her records. Very tearful.
Andrew, just looking at our cruise and scrolled down to see "For a Little Extra" and it includes Andersons? We always used to go there for a drink. Do you now pay for that?

Our spend on drinks on a 19 night cruise is somewhere in the region of £600. A large glass of wine in the bar and then a bottle of wine with dinner which we don't always finish. Maybe the odd coffee. Don't do soft drinks or speciality restaurants. Might try one on our next cruise though. Specially if the MDR food is awful!!
Oh God, that seascreen was horrendous. Even if you sat at another pool you could still hear it. I can't imagine why in this day and age, people can't be given headsets, so you don't have to listen if you don't want to.
There are sunbeds on the Prom Deck on Aurora, not that many, but they don't get in the way of people walking.
Not as much, but yes I would look at her. Have just been through both of their cruises through to 2024 and I'm afraid they are all the same as we have done before, so will try one with Fred again. He is doing an Azores plus Brest and St Malo. Also, slightly shorter than these 19 nighters.
I like to feel I am on a ship not a huge shopping mall. Horses for courses. I love sitting on the Prom Deck in the late afternoon, reading or simply watching the water. I found Azura very crowded and noisy.
