  1. Hope you get an upgrade. We have been talking again about possibly sailing Aqua, now that we again have access to Retreat as a Zenith. We sailed it once before and was happy with Blu. Actually I think we had better food in Blu.
  2. It was really nice seeing you again also. The world can be such a small place. You really brought up a real problem on all of the Revolutionized Ships. They Kelly Ann furniture is a disaster and can't believe they continue to use it. I'm sure she is laughing all the way to the bank. Almost all of the furniture is scaled incorrectly, terribly uncomfortable and many designed in a way you almost flop on your back when sitting down. Those that have sat on the Banquette's with the lamps over head that everyone hits their head on, The sofa's with 4 inch lower legs in the back, know what i'm talking about.
  3. That is not new. It has always been the case that you receive the amenities that come with the room but none of the perks you get when booking the room. An example is if you were upgraded to a Royal Suite - You do not get the free drink package and Premium Internet. You do get the 2 bottles of free premium liquor, Unlimited Specialty Dining, Access to Luminae, Access to Retreat (with free drinks in Retreat but not Sundeck) Free Laundry.
  4. Thanks --- that would explain the issue. Wonder if the OP was experiencing the same issue prior to being in Vietnam waters. I recall that when Edge was making it's way from Civitavecchia to Singapore they had the same issue with India and couldn't utilize Starlink.
  5. Yes an no. Airport drop off's are scheduled according to the time you specify for your flight. The last would be around 8:30-9:00. You are generally assigned a time according to you answers on the disembarkation form but if you go to Guest Service you will see a long line of folks asking for either earlier or later groups.
  6. I was just on Edge a couple weeks ago and the price of Eden without discounts was $60 pp without pairing. There is a 20% Gratuity added. In the case of Edge on the current season in Australia and New Zealand they are required to have upfront pricing including tip so on the app it is currently listed at $72.00 ($60 plus 12 Tip) The price with pairing is in the range of $100 plus tip. It is also a requirement that all must order with pairing. As I'm not a drinker that makes it an easy decision.
  7. Main issue - As a Zenith and Suite Passenger getting zero benefits. Previously the only benefit we got as a Suite we didn't have as Zenith was Gratuities, now that has been removed. 2. They cancelled a B2B that we booked with Future Cruise Booking with $900 OBC, all 3 perks and a good price. They just cancelled and didn't allow us to shift to a different cruise... loosing the perks as well as the certificate. 3. On recent Edge cruise in Retreat the food was just poorly cooked, missing ingredients and many time cold in the middle. 4. The CC Concierge on the recent cruise forgot to invite us to the CC gathering and then forgot to send us an invite to the Zenith Gathering. In addition on the invite we did finally receive two days late my name was spelled incorrectly and Iain was addressed as Mrs. 5. The Retreat on E-Class ships are like a very impersonal airport lounge. I had a small request to have my Zenith Discount applied to a Specialty Dining I asked 2 of the 3 Concierges and wasn't fixed and asked the Retreat Manager 2X before finally sending letter to Hotel Director. Problem was fixed but never received any type of acknowledgement that my complaint had been sent. That was on top of our last cruise when we were top cruiser and the CC Manager forgot to tell us or to invite us to the event. Just a few of the items - The new pricing on Suites, removing many wines from the Premium Package and general lack of wines on the menu are other items. We did our first non-celebrity cruise on Ponant earlier this year. Prices a little higher, They matched our status to Celebrity Zenith, Had GREAT french wines and food far superior to even the specialties on Celebrity. While we will still will be traveling on Celebrity depending on cruise and pricing - once Celebrity looses a dedicate traveler we are now exploring and booking other lines with REAL LUXURY at about the same prices as Celebrity.
  8. Easiest way is to go to Account and on the reservation of interest choose Plan My Cruise. For Specialty - Choose Dining from to menu in Black and White - down the pages you will see the dining packages and the specialties with the regular price and the current sales price. For Drink Packages choose - Drinks
  9. Thanks for all the hard work. I love your photography. I really enjoy people watching and your brought your visit to life with all of the people photos.
  10. Sorry to hear. Was on Edge in Nov/December and sailed out of Singapore to Indonesia. The internet was pretty solid the whole time. Have you tried to isolate if it is just in your room or ever where on the ship. In the past I have had some rooms that were in a dead spot and they were able to install a router in the room to fix the problem. Worth making a complaint - Using the Electronic Attention to Detail form posted in the daily is usually a quick way to bring it to the attention of the correct department.
  11. All I can say is no way in the world would I travel on a ship of that size. I personally believe that in the next 5 years Celebrity is locked into the Edge Class Ships as they just announced their latest.
  12. Thanks for you kind remarks. I can't even imaging going back and reading all the stuff that was discussed. It was a fun Live Post. My sister tells me she has a tendency just to read my dialogue and enjoy the pictures.
  13. Will do. I know many of the products are like comparing apples and oranges but now that Celebrity has lost us as a dedicated cruiser we are shifting more to Itinerary and price. The one thing I use to like about Celebrity was the 2 real room concept of upper suites. On the E-Class this has been shifted to glass panels. This leaves us in a position that If I'm up early I can't really open the drapery without bathing both the living room and bedroom in light. We all enjoy a cruise in a different way and we really aren't participants in the Theater Shows, Casino and having to be entertained. The concept of Regent, Seabourn, SilverSease etc may just be perfect for us. We relish fine dining at a casual pace and destination is coming to the top of our list.
  14. In my experience, they billed your my at the additional gratuity difference on a daily basis and just settle at end of cruise. It will be applied to NR OBC first than any refundable and finally your credit card.
  15. With advance notice you can get off either on the first day or on the disembarkation day they follow the standard Tag Number disembarkation routine. I've left the ship on the first night in Buenos Aires, Yokohama and Singapore. You have to advise the ship and they often have a questionnaire on disembarkation preferences. They need advance notice to coordinate with port to have customs and immigration available. If first day you will need to do self disembarkation.
  16. We did an Iceland / Greenland B2B last year and while we enjoyed it would not be in a rush to do it again. We are also trying to limit another trip to Europe as we will be going to Europe in October-November. One that I've found that may be of interest are a couple New England Canada cruises on Silverseas. While many of the premium lines offer Air, I'm finding I can get better prices and more control of our flights by booking direct. Also found a potential Vancouver - Alaska and Pacific Coast cruise.
  17. Additionally if you purchased on many credit cards and have a listed reason for cancellation you may be able to get some of the money back. Often the causes are sickness, death in family, loss of job etc.
  18. Normally the balls are either already on the court or in the storage area under the benches. If not call guest relations and they will arrange for them to get the balls.
  19. I think we have given up on a February cruise. I shifted some of my searches to a Summer cruise. Something we rarely do.
  20. Thank you, you explained it far better than I. I was looking for the fleet guide for exact number of suites. We also love Sihouette.
  21. I have no concern about the particular employee the point I was making is that Reflection has many more suite guests but the dining room is the same size as other S-Class Ships. Just think of your experience if they added 40% more MDR cabins but did not increase the size of the dining room. I read some good reviews of Reflection but the experience we had has soured us to that ship.
  22. Have to say that we really enjoyed Cranston. We have not traveled on Reflection since 2015. At that time we really had a bad experience with Luminae - The Maitr 'd was really out of control and even when told a table was ready for us would have 20-30 minute wait. Due to that (the extra suite passenger load) we have never sailed Reflection again. Not sure we ever will again. It was so bad the Retreat Host insisted on escorting us to Luminae every night and even when she was assured a table was ready I would hear her on the phone with Lawrence - Where are you - why isn't the table ready when you told me it was. Got to be an embarrassment.
  23. My experience in BA is as many others have reported. On embarkation you drop them with a porter like all other cruises and then take a shuttle to the ship. Your bags are delivered to your door. I did an early disembarkation in BA. For that situation our butler brought our bags to the shuttle bus when we left in the afternoon and loaded them on to the shuttle for us. We were the only passengers so not a problem. At the terminal we just walked out past immigration and grabbed an Uber.
  24. Honestly I don't think it would be worth it. Even when in a RS with unlimited dining we would rarely go to Tuscan more than 2x and to us Petite Chef is one and done and we've done it twice. Since Chef B specialty is not covered under unlimited dining I think you would be better off al la carte.
  25. Never be sorry and cross check me always. I had to go back to check my pictures as I recalled Michael's Club. I was initially concerned that they don't have the Breakfast Bar and evening snack bar but to not avail. They handle it by Ordering and having them delivered to you. The one think we did like was the bar - albeit rather small with only 4 stools.
