  1. Years ago they denied my request to upgrade to a CS from SS when the CS was lower priced than a SS. My TA called the President and he overrode the Customer Service Team and allowed it but no reduction in fare I paid. I was ok with this. Generally the new room category has to be at least $1 higher than existing fare.
  2. Laura also said numerous times --- we sent out request for questions to our most loyal customers and then --- and a question for a Select Member and Elite Member.... Maybe I didn't listen close enough but only heard one question from a Zenith Member - Andy - about Access to Retreat. I don't think I heard a single one from an Elite Plus.
  3. Menus are not loaded until 0-10 days prior to the cruise. On repeat sailings same itinerary and days they may be loaded earlier.
  4. Go to the very bottom under your cruises and choose - Browse our Ships - Choose a ship and choose a current sailing.
  5. Don't worry "we did not remove butlers.... we made this change to enhance your experience. The majority of comments have been positive..... hmmmm..

  7. It seems that the menus have been slimmed down and some of the favorites are no longer offered. Food is of course subjective so some reviews may or may not meet your expectation. For a sampler - download the app and choose any ship in class ship you are interested in and a current sailing. You should be able to pop up the menus and see how they meet your expectation. While we don't sail in regular cabins our experience has been food is served hot and dining staff will work with you on selection and modification of items. Remember you also have the Children's Menu with a 4 ounce Filet (available every day).
  8. They both are almost identical sisters. Neither has gone through Revolution so you can expect the original color pallet and Pre-Kelly furniture that is functional.
  9. I was reading an article last night on potential travel delays due to a shutdown. TSA agents and CBC agents in previous shutdowns are considered essential and were required to work without pay (they received their pay after the end of the shutdown). On extended shutdowns many would call in sick to be able to work elsewhere to be able to buy food and pay bills. This caused longer than expected at both airports and customs. I was reading in a forum recently that some are reporting they are getting setup with ride share companies just in case.
  10. Thanks for posting a live review. As a pointer for future cruises, when you arrive at either MIA or FLL you will find the agent in the Baggage Area with a Big Celebrity Sign. You will see other cruise line agents also. You contact that person and she will give you a sticker with a number on it and will direct you to a porter who will take your bags. When your bus arrives your bus number will be called and you will be escorted to the bus. Unless you get free transfer as part of booking with Flights By Celebrity I would forego and just grab an Uber. The price they charge is far more expensive for 2 than just using a ride share or taxi.
  11. I think I passed your Google office in Toronto when there. When I saw the Google sign I thought of you. We have a friend who works for the Educational Station and is currently on strike - We went down to support him. Was nice to see all the support they were getting.
  12. You should be able to open NordVPN on you iPad and select one of the servers NordVPN lists that aren't blacklisted. They constantly update the server list so if it works one day and not the next try a different server.

  14. Wondering if you have had a bad experience with the laundry service. When we are on a ship for 4-6 weeks it would be impossible (or impracticable) to not have laundry done on the ship. Anything delicate I have dry cleaned and have not had any problem with shrinkage or damage to our laundry. One part I do use often is the pressing service to get the wrinkles out of our Sports and Dinner Jackets and Pants after being in our suitecase.
  15. Zeniths get Free Premium Drink Package (so that is not the issue), they also get free premium Internet and Free Laundry. Now if you are Zenith in a Suite you are forced to pay for all the same perks in your fare as oppose to the past when you could book without perks that we already have Some of you may have the same feeling shortly when some of the airlines like Delta start dropping access to their lounges for many that currently can access them.
  16. Curious if taking a picture in color on an iPhone would also be a violation. I recently applied for a Indonesia Visa and was required to upload a picture of my passport, thus I took a picture on my iphone and uploaded. In addition to a hard copy I have always kept a photo on my phone.
  17. I recall reading that Delta was cutting back lounge access - I found this which you might find helpful. I don't use American Express so don't know all the in's and outs. Starting in January 2024, card members flying in Basic Economy will no longer receive Sky Club access. From Feb. 1, 2025, the top-tier Amex cards will no longer offer unlimited Delta lounges access unless you can hit a high spending threshold.
  18. I'm not sure I have a card any longer. I just use the Priority Pass App and it has the QR code built into it.
  19. I agree.... Iain asked... why haven't we been been using this before. I simply replied I didn't realize the benefit. I noticed at a couple of the restaurants, they had food to go and some were using their Priority Pass to buy food to take on the plane with them. I sure got full use of the card on this trip. I also noticed they have The Club Lounges available in all of the Terminals. hmmmmm. Why didn't I check earlier.
  20. Yea... that is what my phone was upgraded to. I went directly from 16.xxxx to 17.0.1 Maybe I should have gone to 17.0.0 first and then 17.0.1 Problems with upgrades are sometimes specific to certain phone models and even to specific phones. On Reddit forum there are many many issues being reported.
  21. We were not in the ATL Delta lounge. Even as a First Class Passenger on what I would call an International route were not permitted to use the Delta Lounge. The only "lounges" available in Priority Pass for Atlanta was Samuel Adams Brew Hose in Concourse B. What I was saying was that in Denver the Restaurant had a notice that Priority Pass for Amex and Capitol One was not accepted See Conditions 1
  22. I was really pleased at how many people live or have lived in the area. The Great Lakes are really starting to be the new Cruise Destination.
  23. I was eventually able to get my audio books back by deleting the Books App and deleting the Books data and then re-uploading them to my phone. I do have way too many (138 books). In the meantime I was able to download a book using Hoopala from my library. I bought a new iPhone 15 Pro Max and it is suppose to ship between 9/24 and 9/26 so hopefully I can just set up everything fresh real soon. I then set up the Upgrade Chain. I move Iain to my iPhone 14 Pro Max and our daughter get's Iain's and one of the Grand-kids gets Iain's
