  1. It is totally possible as no one monitors you after you drop off you luggage. The gating factor is they will not have baggage drop off and porters available until 10-10:30. Your time may be limited as you are required to check in 1 1/2 hour prior to ships departure time, unless otherwise listed. The 11:00 checkin time is your allocated slot (first slot) to checkin for your cruise but you can usually checkin at 10:30 (may not board until 11:00) any time after that.
  2. Which ship and cruise. I just looked at Millennium 17, 2023 on an airline site and showing available and rooms.
  3. Agree -- Hard close and Re-Open and see if that works if Not - then logout - do a hard close and then log back in. That's what the IT guy tried
  4. Depending on your route you can see quite a bit from the SHIP. The Inland Passage Way is a very narrow passageway and I've seen Bear's, Fox and beautiful scenery. Also The Glaciers are only visible from the ship as it doesn't dock or tender at the Glaciers. At the Glaciers the Captain Turns the Ship 180 degrees Port and then 180 degrees Starboard so easily visible from all staterooms. In the ports you would want to go ashore either on your own or an excursion as not much visible from the ship. We have seen Whales while at some of the ports like Prince Rupert Islands and they were breaching alongside the Tenders. Not uncommon but also may be dependent on time of year
  5. Like @jelayne we take many private tours but usually with just the two of us. We definitely tip more on Private tours - probably in the range of 20% of the tours cost. If there is a driver in addition to the guide we usually tip him 50% of the Guide. Ships tours really base it on the tour guide. Usually about $20. We have also had a couple of really terrible guides (on Celebrity tours). Once in France we stopped at the B&B factory and she READ the pamphlet to us that they gave us at the door. Next was a stop at the Alabaster Coast and she said we were on our own tomeet up back at the bus in 3 hours. She had no idea what she was doing. I chose to give her nothing.
  6. On E-Class ships this is not allowed in Blu or Retreat. The kitchens are separated by many floors. You can on M and S Classes but they don't have the En Croute
  7. It would probably be best to call your agent or celebrity and have them reprice your room with a NR Deposit. You can do a mock booking to see what the extra is for the Refundable - You select it as an option and broken out as a PER ROOM rate. If your change at anytime you are charge $100 pp plus the same percentage penalty fee after final payment as Refundable. If you cancel prior to final payment you receive back a FCC in the amount of deposit less $100 pp. The FCC is good for 1 year. Last week a couple days prior to Final Payment a CS opened up and was about $700 less than my CS but was NR. I had them reprice at no cost and reduced my final payment by $700. Since I know we are going to me it was a no brainer.
  8. Check it out here and see the deck plans - you are correct and apologize -- The deck plans are showing 17 decks - I was wondering how they could both be 140600 Tons and missing a deck - Its funny because they both say they are 16 Decks because they don't count Deck 1. Also if you actually count the decks there are only 15 because there is no Deck 13. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/member/Celebrity-Ascent
  9. Your outfit is appropriate for all dining rooms every night including Chic nights. Jeans without holes are even called out as appropriate on Chic night with a collared shirt.
  10. Noticed on a current Live that on Apex Class ships in Normandy they have the Beef Steak En Croute equivalent of Beef Wellington Every night. I believe the every night selection of each of the 4 dining rooms can be ordered at any of them. Picture by @OrcaGirl
  11. There have been no comment on the M-Class Cabin reports - Summit has been revolutionized and is in really good shape - While not your cabin a YouTube Video of 7059 which is 3 cabins forward - will give you a good idea of what to expect. It's an Interior cabin and should be quiet as there are only room and a hallway above
  12. Here's some published specs Currently, there is still availability on Celebrity Ascent’s maiden voyage. Prospective passengers can sail onboard in an Inside Stateroom, with two people, for $3,332, including taxes and fees. The Celebrity Ascent will continue to sail within the Caribbean for the remainder of 2023 once it launches. In April 2024, the ship will embark on a Transatlantic sailing that will visit Portugal and Spain. After the Ascent makes its way over to Europe, it will take guests on Mediterranean sailings that will visit regions such as the Italian Riviera and France. In May 2024, the ship will visit destinations such as Greece and Turkey.
  13. I kinda look at that with the price I paid in my first 4 years of cruising I received back more in OBC than I paid for the stock so all the OBC I've received in the ensuing 18 years was all just free money. Not exactly because there was a period when RCL prohibited double dipping and you couldn't get a Stockholders Credit if you got an OBC as a booking perk. I almost sold during this period but just forgot I had the stock.
  14. Click the Head Icon - If one is already selected - Choose in Blue Select a different Cruise. This will show all your bookings Under your bookings at the very bottom - choose Browse our Ships Select your ship and then the current cruise. Really not intuitive
  15. Only one time in the past 10 years has the shop keeper even asked if I was departing the next day and even then had no means to verify. My understanding is the shops are contractors and do not have access to the Celebrity system except to process charges.
  16. Agree that the Duty Free Allowance is per 30 days ...but.... except those that purchased high end jewelry which are reported to Customs is the last time any of was stopped and ask if you have an extra bottle or carton of cigarettes. Of course, I would never bring back more than the limit. A really neat provision if you want extra - book a cruise that stops in the USVI. They have a special allowance that permits 5X the normal allocation for Cigarettes and Cigars and 4 Liters of Liquor plus an additional one if manufactured in USVI. Required to purchase in the USVI not on the ship.
  17. Drop by Customer Service disk or Captain's Club host on the first day and remind them. As others say - the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
  18. My understanding is data intensive sites like CC are either not accessible or only partially accessible. CC uses a lot of stuff behind the scenes that don't seem compatible.
  19. Maybe ask @WrittenOnYourHeart. They may hold them and you have to call in to book them. Worth giving your Agent or Celebrity a call.
  20. Thank you for posting the video. I was really impressed with the room. If I were to travel alone I would be very happy with it.
  21. Linda - looks like there may be 3 more videos. The red symbol on the cabins indicates there's a youtube attached video Here's another from a guys point of view - of course he doesn't even show the closet.
  22. Which specific S-Class. We were on Solstice (non-revolutionized) in December and the TV was on the pull out and Swivel articulated mount. Didn't need to swivel for viewing from bed but did swivel it so I could see it from the Sofa
  23. I think you will find that the $200 change fee is only applicable if you book a Non-Refundable cruise. I've booked a number recently with the Refundable fare and there is no fee to change or cancel. I sometimes book Refundable until closer in and then change to a Refundable. I just did last week 5 days prior to cruise the price dropped by $600 but was a non-refundable. Since so close to final it made no difference so had them reprice with a NR.
  24. Would really interested to read if you could do a Comparison of the two cruise line either live or a review after the cruise. There have been a couple lately and really informative to all of us who are planning on trying other alternatives.
