  1. All of our butlers would make a reservation if requested but I found the Retreat Host is better positioned to do it. They have access to the reservation system for all the specialties and can book for you while you wait.
  2. Some choose to use it because they can burn off NR-OBC where if you book with external agencies you are paying via credit cared.
  3. You will still be on Starlink if it is available on the ship. Basic will be throttled down to the speed similar to the regular basic pre-starlink. Just think of it as you will still be on the same waterline but a much smaller pipe.
  4. I've done Private Journey and prices vary all over the place from what I considered reasonable to obscene. You can expect to pay anywhere from $400 - 1,800 for 2. When you do a private Journey, you decide what you want to do and the drivers will even modify as the day goes on. It is very similar to Toursbylocals
  5. Tuscan on M and S. I believe the Bistro on Edge Class
  6. 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM We enjoy it when miss breakfast closing hour at 9:30 for Luminae and 9:00 at MDR
  7. Summit is almost a twin sister than Millennium both having gone through the Revolution. Millennium was launched 1 year before Summit. If you didn't see the name painted on the side you probably couldn't tell which ship you were on. The main difference you may notice is the different art work on the stairs. The both have Tuscan Grill, Sushi on Five and Le Petite Chef as specialty restaurant.
  8. Good to hear. I didn't remember. I'll be on Apex in April so will definitely utilize it. Shorter walk from 11 to 14 than all the way down to al Bacio on 4.
  9. Fantastic to hear. Last time we met we were one cruise short of hitting Zenith and the Alaska and Japan cruises put us over the mark. We've done first 2 legs previously and weren't anxious to do them again. Having said that we took a side trip to the Taj Majal and was absolutely incredible. Also if you can book a trip to Petra -- We were on a private tour someone on our roll call put together. They got us there long before Celebrity's tours arrived - We were leaving as they arrived and were happy we weren't part of the heard of 5-6 buses. I've booked our flight to Singapore for November but holding off on the return. I need to wait until about April to book a RT as we are flying back for the TP and Hawaii to Vancouver.
  10. At the entrance to the OVC on S Class there is a bar that also makes Cappuccino's and Latte's. It is called Al Bacio Segundo or Segundo Bacio (2nd Bacio)- They also have Premium OJ and a basic cocktails.
  11. It might be easier to have them download the Celebrity App. Select the Current Reflection Sailing - The Cruise Planner lists everything for the entire cruise. The default filter is Recommend but if you choose all will show everything. Just click on the day # and will show each day's activities If they see something they Like the can click on it and it will set up a reminder in their individual daily planner
  12. After forgetting mine one time. I learned and put a Sticky Note on the door to remind me to check.
  13. Good news is if on M or S Class you can mix and match from Blu and MDR. I"ve found that some of the menu items in Blu are actually better than they sound. They often list something like a Lamb Chop Salad which are Miso Honey Glazed SalmonSalad. You an also ask for them to plate it separately. with the Glaze on the side.
  14. Thanks Gerry - We are on the Singapore to Sydney B2B with New Zealand on Edge 2nd half of world cruise in late November so will look forward to your report and advice. Our friends in town home is a short walk or train so if we don't get off with them and go to their place we may just walk over later in the morning. Your definitely had an adventure in 2020. We were on final approach into FLL when received a text of the suspension of cruising. Took us 2 days before we could get a flight home. We of course didn't have the problem you had of the boarder shutting down. Have you ever wondered what you would have done if you didn't get out in time?
  15. I enjoy Luminae better on S and M Classes as you are able to order from the MDR menu on both classes. Unfortunate that isn't an option on a E class. Luminae is good but if you on for b2B's etc the choices become very boring. I also like both S and M Class as they have Murano which is missing from the E-Class. I have sailed on both Silhouette and Summit and love them both and would select either dependent on the itinerary.
  16. Well they had cattle blankets for steerage. 🙂 Actually they had the same blankets at every station where they usually have towels. The Pool Butlers were taking orders for hot drinks. You can also get Hot Cocoa, Tea etc at Al Bacio and at the Sky Lounge. Sky Lounge was very popular due to wonderful views. See -they even take care of those that aren't in Suites.
  17. Thanks -- We are traveling with friends from Sydney so may just to over to their place for a couple hours disembarkation. As other's said - there is so much to do in the docking area no need to just sit around for a couple hours in a terminal.
  18. Happy you posted as I hadn't looked since last time I downloaded my statement and applied for 10 cruises. I only own the stock for the OBC's. I bought it at a good price and happy to see I doubled my money but --- funny money as I don't plan selling it. Just the money we have received in OBC's have really neutralized the volatility.
  19. Toiletries vary by room classification. RS and above have a high end french line. I think AQ to CS currently are using Bigalow. Of course this is not consistent across the fleet. Not sure what they currently have in Concierge and below.
  20. Thanks --- I hadn't seen your post when I asked just now. Did they give you transit passes or did you just get processed along with the others joining the ship. Which would then help understand if we need to select a Check-In time. I guess won't matter as we are in a suite.
  21. Curious as to what they did in Sydney. I will be doing a B2B in Sydney later this year. I've also had ports like Reykjavik where we didn't have anything to do Since we had already had two ports in Iceland. They told us they considered us "In-Transit"
  22. I agree. I also found over time that if you book with an Agent whether it be FBC or the many websites, If you need to change a flight the airline won't do it and ask you to call your agent. This happened to me recently when the airline changed a flight and put me on a flight with a 6 hour connection. FBC had to put in a request with the airline for my preferred connection and had to wait 48 hours to get a confirmation.
  23. I did a B2B in December so probably representative. They use tenders for the ship's excursions first. They then started using 2 exits from the ship about 20 minutes after scheduled arrival time. At Cabo they were using tenders provided by the port as well as Celebrity's. There are many priority privileges - Suites, Captain's Club Elite and Above, Aqua and Concierge and they meet in lounges and escorted to the tender on a priority basis. Suites are generally the first to be escorted to the tenders. On our cruise they gave out tender tickets and would call them by groups. The tender take 15-20 minutes to get to pier depending where anchored.
  24. Yes - kinda. B2B passengers meet about 9:00-9:15 and will either do Customs and Immagration aboard but normally go into the terminal as a group to be processed (in many ports a facial recognition system). You then are immediately escorted back aboard and have free access to the ship until General Boarding begins. Alternatively you can use a Transit Pass and leave the ship before 9:00 to tour but can not come back aboard until general boarding begins.
