  1. Iain has always gotten the Grey Goose and the same size bottle that you get in an Upper Suite. Just took a look as he brought one home from the RS we had. Definitely a Liter. I would suspect it would be the same in the Classic Selection - Only difference being the label. With the classic you get a choice of Absolute, Bacardi Silver, Captain Morgan, Jameson, Johnny Walker Red and Tanqueray. With Premium your choices are Jack DAniels, Bombay Saphire, Grey Goose, Johnny Walker Black or Ketel One.
  2. Good to hear. We didn't even see the area for snacks and beverage as we were literally in the terminal less than 5 minutes. Once through the door we were directed to the right after the metal detectors while it appeared the general boarding were directed to the left. Didn't see any lines anywhere.
  3. Your making us jealous. I was reading on the Silverseas board earlier today. Sounds like a really grand upscale experience.
  4. One cruise I never had a room assigned but then advised 3 days before the cruise, I had won an upgrade and when I looked at reservation I saw my new room.
  5. I just got off Solstice in San Pedro. The whole boarding process was really quick. We arrived a 1:00 and when we identified as Suite Passengers were pointed to a spot with 4 agents standing with iPads. They looked at our boarding pass and passport, pressed a couple buttons and told us we were free to board. Total process took less than 5 minutes. Regular passengers were sent on a separate route. I didn't see a lounge but they may have had a cordoned off area in the general area for those that arrived before the ship was cleared. On B2B we cleared immigration walked out one door and back in the adjacent door and were directed right back on the ship. Again I never saw the general checkin area.
  6. I recently was on a B2B on Summit in both a CS and a Sky Suite. I measured both tubs and the one in the CS is about 2-3 inches higher than the SS. The reason for this is the Sky Suite has a step up from the rooms floor level while the Celebrity Suite floor is the same height is the same as the room. In my opinion the SS is easier to get into and out of due to placement. The CS you take your life into your hands getting in and out.
  7. The jogging path winds around and up two floors. You can reach the hot tubs by just following the jogging walking path. Their are also stairs adjacent. I don't believe there is an elevator available as it is adjacent to the Retreat Sun Deck.
  8. We ordered the Premium Bar Setup a couple weeks ago. On the first day the Bar Services will come to your room with a Liter Bottle of your Choice (listed in package) and mixers of your choice. I think they limit the mixer to 12 cans of your choice. Unlike Chem we did not receive any nuts which would be a nice touch.
  9. I've never received an email. I just check my reservation and eventually a room popped in. I've had Suite Guarantees that were unassigned for 1 1/2 year before finally having room assigned. Other times I've found a price reduction where a S1 drops below or same price as a S2 Guarantee and just have my agent change and have select a room.
  10. They still have lobster on the second Chic night. At least earlier this month on Solstice, there was no restrictions on a second lobster and was offered instead of being requested by our waiter, we requested only one as we are not big eaters.
  11. I will end this post with a Christmas message to Iain. Merry Christmas -
  12. I would expect they will. While on Solstice earlier this month they were broadcasting the World Cup on the Lawn Club Big Screen, TV and Casino Bar and Wine Cellar. They also broadcasted a NFL game.
  13. I would expect when they did show up at the pier they contacted the port agent to arrange their rejoining the ship at the next port. The port agent would have contacted the ship.
  14. While not in 2020 she did get a Dry Dock in February of 2021 and had her Hull Painted and Azippods serviced. That would also have required her sea trial after rebuild. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1617950691730682 Eclipse did go through a Dry Dock in the May time frame of 2022 just after going back into service . This wasn't a standard scheduled dry dock but due to barnacle and seaweed build up while sitting dormant. Dry dock doesn't necessarily mean a Revolution. https://crew-center.com/celebrity-eclipse-goes-dry-dock-clean-marine-growth
  15. To be honest I don't think we will see any additional ships go through the Revolution in the foreseeable future. RCL / Celebrity just don't have the funds available to this type of investment at this time. Except for the weeks of the holidays most ships are still sailing at a substantial lower passenger loads than precovid.
  16. I've been looking for payment terms on Ponant site and can find the expired Cruise with Confidence but can't seem to find what it is now. I assume it would be 25% deposit at booking but when is final payment due? edit: Never mind I found it by reading the fine print in the Terms and Conditions - 25% deposit and Final Payment 90 Days
  17. From the Fleet Guide - Last updated March 2022 https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Flyers/12030112_CEL_FleetGuide.pdf
  18. I almost had the same. I saw there was a fare reduction of $150 and asked my agent to check on it. He reminded me that I had a Refundable fare and asked if I wanted to change to the new far which was non-refundable. I chose to stick with the refundable. It does pay to have a good agent.
  19. Phyllis... I disagree.. You and your husband were the perfect Slot Pull hosts. I had so much fun. It was the first time I have ever participated and know I will do it again on a future cruise. Darn about the points I was hoping you would get enough to qualify for one of those free cruise offers.
  20. We consider ourselves lucky as the trip was so quick and there was Zero line for security at Alaska Airway. My only complaint -- was Starbucks. LOL. I stood on line for 10 minutes only to be told they could only make regular coffee because they ran out of milk. Why didn't they put up a sign. Oh well Pete's came to the rescue and no line.
  21. Carla --- Iain laughed when I told him of your shared distaste of heights. We are similar to you. Silverseas is on Iain's top of the list. I was asking him tonight if we should try Silverseas first and he said Ponant may be a good starting point.... I've been reading about every thread on the Ponant board. It is really a much different board with very few posts but very helpful cruisers. They have helped me start understanding their ships and offerings. I don't believe an Expedition Cruise will have any similarities o Celebrity but does sound very interesting.
  22. Thank you and I hope you also have a wonderful Xmas and New Year. I keep saying. I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve. Being away for much of December has really thrown off all sense of timing.
  23. Thanks much. What a wonderful review. You have a wonderful way with words, thanks for the pointer.
  24. Next one is coming up in 114 days. So far away but it's incredible how time flies the closer you get to departure. Hope you also have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
  25. I really wasn't disappointed with Ensenada but was really excited about both Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta as we had never been to either. Our view of Ensanada may be jaded. First time we were on a San Diego to Hawaii cruise which was really from Ensanada. You checked in at San Diego and they bused us to Ensanada. Took us 8 hours mostly stuck at the boarder. It was topped off with our driver getting lost and them having to send a bus to find us. We did not get aboard until 9 PM. Next two stops there we just went into town and walked the main strip. I'm sure there is so much more if we had gotten out of town and explored the surrounding area.
