  1. Thanks much. I've been researching lots about it. Last time we were in Buenos Aires we were unable to arrange as we had not even thought about it until it was too late. It's on our bucket list and will probably spend 3 days there. I have plenty of time to plan as I booked a Lisbon to Rio and Buenos Aires for November 2024 - Your information will be priceless.
  2. Tried finding you post but your oldest post available on CC is Sept 19, 2020. They must have deleted them when they updated the software. Would really like to do Iguazu Falls on our own.
  3. Yikes.. 2G would really be difficult for any type of media or most web pages.
  4. When I upload pictures, I do not upload them to CC in advance. I only add them to each message individually by choosing the drag file or chose file option. If you delete from that location it also deletes from the message. If you are adding the image first as a Gallery Image and then linking from there I would assume if you delete it from the Gallery it will also eliminate from the message. From your question I believe you may be uploading first and then
  5. I think you Agent just doesn't want to deal with it. No show is an option but as other say if you cancel the person you would be eligible to get Double CC Points, refund of port and tax fees etc.
  6. I've done the cruise a couple times. Weather in late November can be on the chilly side 55-65 in Spain and Morocco. Chilly but perfect for touring. Generally a sweatshirt will suffice early morning and can be removed as the day warms. As you head South the temperatures will raise. Again not hot but probably in the range of 60-70. In my humble opinion the must do in Barcelona is visit Sagrada de Familia and Gaudi Park. Also the Rambla is always interesting but be on high alert for pick pockets. Off the Rambla explore Old Town and the many small streets with lots of character.
  7. On Summit there is a Bar in Retreat Lounge but no seating at the bar. There are 2 High Top tables in the window alcove between the bar and the Coffee Machine. The retreat Sundeck has a outdoor bar with a bartender and seating for about 4-6 at the bar. They also serve drinks to those seated or sunbathing.
  8. The good old shell game Celebrity does. I have found on occasion some bargains with a sale and able to reprice but most of the time they raise the price and then discount it by the amount they raised it. It's a good idea to do like you and record the prices both before and after a sail.
  9. Actually you don't need to connect your phone to a laptop to make phone calls and SMS text. All you have to do is turn on Wifi Calling under settings, put your phone in airplane mode and connect and sign on to the Ships Wifi. The only advantage of the hotspot would be that you could be on you PC and and make phone calls simultaneously using a single account logon.
  10. Your correct. I've never gone over that limit. Generally it would meet my needs but I was bored on a long excursion and started uploading pictures to my live post. I learned to wait. I definitely over T-Mobile and so far only found one country, Croatia, that it didn't cover. That county has since been added.
  11. Julie - Look forward to following on. We have done the cruise around the horn and Internet was mostly ok but did loose it for about 1 day. I have to say it was one of our most memorable cruise and I'm sure you will love every minute of it.
  12. I always request an extension cord. The room attendant brings it and tapes it down to the floor to eliminate trip hazard.
  13. Yes you will find it under the Drink Package section of Cruise Planner - It's called Bar Setup. They have a Premium and Classic Selection - only difference is the selection. It includes 1 Liter Bottle of your choice plus mixers. We often book a package.
  14. I have been able to make calls using the Premium Wifi using Phone over interntet. I've also made facetime calls, Google Phone Calls as well as other platforms. At times you may loose internet from 1 -12 hours but was usually able to make calls when connected. Remember that there will also usually be free internet in each port
  15. I have to agree with @cruisestitch and @Northern Aurora When cruising for extended periods we don't experience the cruise in a similar way as those that are just on for a week or so. We see the cruise ship as our home and often do many of the things we do at home. That is of course interlaced with ports where we find exciting things to do or find things that the locals do instead of the touristy things. We also eat like we do at home instead of eating huge meals. Often for lunch we may just have a nice piece of bread with a bowl of soup. For dinner we also don't go overboard and when dining in Specialty order 1/2 portions. Last 3 cruises i haven't gained any weight. Walking is a bit part of my life, both ashore an at sea and I usually manage to get in my 10 miles of walking daily. While walking for 2 1/2 - 3 Hours a day I listen to Audio Books and love both the fresh air and the getting lost in a good book. I usually bring along a Media Stick and lots of our favorite programs that I can stream directly from my laptop. We rarely go to the shows any longer as we have seen them numerous times and instead enjoy hanging out in Retreat with other guests and the bar staff. We also don't participate in many of the activities that are arranged to keep guest engaged. In between this I am usually busy on my computer doing live posts as well as taking care of lots of correspondence and management activities as the President of our Homeowner Association. Yes I do even call into and Manage our Monthly HOA meeting via Zoom. To be honest I've never gotten bored but often by the end of the cruise get anxious to get home and see our family.
  16. My personal favorite is Ariel - Cabernet - It's is brewed in San Jose just down the street. I often can get various year - goes for about $9. For whites I like Zeitz Eins Zwei Zero Rieling. About $16 retail Fre is pretty much jug wine (in my humble opinion) brewed by Sutter Home and I can buy it for about $7.50 Drinkable and I do consume it often on Celebrity.
  17. A really good resource even for seasoned travelers is to join the Roll Call for your particular cruise. There, there will be discussions of ports and excursions as well as many that will assist you with all your questions. I've been participating in Roll Calls for 15 years and some of the best excursions were private tours arranged by others on the roll call that were looking for others to fill their excursion.
  18. We were on Solstice just after it was installed for a B2B. First cruise it was marginally better than the standard internet. Suddenly near the end of the 1st cruise the speed started hitting over 100 meg. I asked and they said they had been working on tuning it.
  19. While not common I have seen both the minimum and Maximum bids decrease after initially being released. I was checking out a bid only to find my Bid was higher than the Maximum bid. I changed my bid to a number below max and ended up winning the bid. Most of the time it remains the same.
  20. I've used it a number of times without problems using the Premium WiFi. There are times that the ship has lost all internet service and of course at this time was not able to use Zoom. Usually I have not had any buffering but a couple times i switched to Voice only.
  21. Generally there is no fee to cancel a flight prior to final payment date if you selected a refundable fee. After final payment they charge an "Administrative" fee. After the shut down most of Celebrity's fares are Non-Refundable but I've seen some non-refundable ones when searching - FAQ Yes, you can cancel your flight. Cancellation penalties vary based on the type of ticket that you purchased. Non-refundable tickets will not provide a refund, however, some airlines will issue you a credit for the value of your air ticket valid for one year from the date of issue. Additional fees and penalties will apply at the time of re-use. If you have purchased a refundable ticket, cancellations are subject to a fee with the balance refunded to the last form of payment used on your cruise reservation.
  22. Agree 100% - Once you have a fresh Live Maine Lobster you will never go back. Years back when in college I worked at a Lobster Place in Massachusetts - Thursday was double Lobster Night two 1 1/2 pound lobsters for $7.99. Oppps I guess I'm showing my age.
  23. Since the restart of cruising your room key is placed in the mail slot at your door. You are invited to go directly to your room and drop off your luggage and get your key. They ask you hang out in the public area until 1:30 to give the room attendants time to finish off prepping your room.
  24. Generally to book 4 passengers on two reservations you need to have your reservations linked. This can be done yourself if you have control of your booking (booked direct on Celebrity) or have your agent do it for you if using an agent. Having said that many times the link is rejected for "different currency" or one part is part of a group booking. It is easy to do once aboard but probably best to call in and reserve. If you wish to pay for both make sure you let it be re-known to the Maitr'd - I've had problems when guests at a dinner party were each charged even though they were my guest and I had to have the Retreat Host straighten it out.
