  1. Napier has been canceled . My friends on that cruise aren’t very happy, they said all the shore excursions booked through the ship have been canceled. They went and booked something privately in Napier now it has been canceled. They had a $1,000 OBC and it disappeared, after calling their agent. Royal said the lift and shift wasn’t done in time and OBC was with drawn. But they still took the booking. Guest services will be busy. That last cruise was just a debacle,we were at anchor in Vila for 2 days.
  2. I’m back on duty on Wednesday Graham. Do think a lightning strike or something. And put the voodoo doll away ,I’m sick of it. Here’s your new roll with climate change.
  3. Do you think intercruise would pay for your scuba tickets to do check in ?
  4. The only limo I would want in peak hour to the four seasons would have Sydney trains written on the side.
  5. Taxis have a good reputation in Sydney but use Uber if you wish. The Uber pick up is a little further but not by much , I believe it’s well posted. But $140 for a hotel shuttle is a bit rude.
  6. Taxi will be easier for you to find and being peak time around 9:00 it will be about the same price as Uber.
  7. Unless you want to catch the train, which is easy, get a taxi.
  8. How many people? If it’s jus a couple way over the top. You will be coming it at peak hour ,I would just get a taxi. Taxi should be about $60AU.
  9. It would work but I don’t know about the airport and if it would affect it. I was just trying to find the LEP on it but it’s approved as a commuter dock.
  10. https://cityhubsydney.com.au/2022/09/the-yarra-bay-cruise-terminal-could-be-back-on-the-table/
  11. There’s a part of the freight area called Hayes dock which is already legislated for cruise ships. I did post the act a while ago. Its parallel to the runway and was a proposed for interim use but I don’t think it would be suitable for something like a Oasis class.
  12. Apparently they were told that ,luggage has to leave the ship also. This is probably not your department but just say one was tested positive. Could someone else be substituted into the booking at short notice on the day? It’s only a domestic cruise so immigration wouldn’t be involved.
  13. @gbenjo Graham , I have friends currently on Ovation and doing a B2B. They where told by the concierge that at the end of this cruise. They might have to pack their bags and leave the ship. Apparently they will be tested in the terminal and if positive will have to leave the ship. Is that correct?
  14. That’s what they said about Auckland. In the short term and I’m sure if the money was right. Patricks would think about it. But they would have to do a off site check in ???
  15. There was talk a few years ago of the bigger ships using the container terminal in Auckland. They must have worked something out with who ever owns it. Hopefully the same could happen with port botany container terminal? Especially ,now Newcastle is going to expand.
  16. Rassa ,when I was in Noumea I went looking for French cat food for you.
  17. I might get my welding mask out and a powerful light and see if I can see the chip.
  18. I did put it up to the light but couldn’t see anything as I was thinking about putting my own hole it. Are you on there now are you?
  19. No ,they said they where told by a officer at the suite party. The container terminal is pretty substantial ,it should be able to. But even with Ovation docked is better than being stationary in the middle of the inlet. They said there’s a shuttle bus service into queens dock.
  20. Friends are on Ovation and it docked in Auckland today at the container terminal and apparently the dock is Oasis ready!!!
  21. That’s strange, I asked the diamond concierge, guest service and they said in interferes with the chip . They said they won’t punch it. But I like just to put in my pocket.
  22. It was quite different from a few years ago @Rassa.The only problem with sea cards is they won’t punch them. I didn’t think the food was as good in general. I used to like the solarium for dinner but I thought is was a bit of a letdown. I used to prefer windjammer over the dining room because of the view but the food in the dining room was much better. I wasn’t in a suite so I can’t comment on the lounge or coastal kitchen. It wasn’t bad or better just different. I back on in a week so see what happens, let’s see if I can give @gbenjothe slip this time. LOL
